Rail lengths, handguards, and M4's

So I've decided to replace the stock plastic handguards on my KA M4 with likely a MAGPUL MOE handguard but I've noticed there are different lengths. How/what do I measure to determine which mine is? Thanks for the help in advance.

What distance is that? Between delta ring and front sight?

Yes. Also, get a ruler or measuring tape and measure your current hand guard.

Thanks..just wanted to make sure as I've seen 7", 7.25", 9", 10" etc. listed and wanted to know how precise I needed to be in measuring. I'm not a fan of modifying new parts to fit.
