unless it uses a regulated HPA/CO2 mag, the gun will be nothing more useful than a wall hanger. Hate to say it,
-don't think this will be a good training tool as its a DMR
-Real Sword will have better finish than WE (unless they pull the cost as high as EBR)
-Real Sword will have better range and grouping than WE (unless they pull the quality and cost up)

If you think I'm a WE hater,

I use to own a WE G39E, and currently own WE M4 & M16 both Open Chamber

Everything you say is true... until Ratech gets a hold of it. I know they already have one (SVD) and have parts in prototype already.

Well, goodness.
And SVD that goes *pwap-pwap-pwap* is an SVD I'd buy.

I have no doubt they have one, Johnny posted pictures of it. The biggest thing about any Gas Sniper Rifle is either being extremely efficient (Tanaka M700) or has a regulated pressure.
Since WE is neither, it will be accurate (250ft+)

And lets not forget RA-Tech Lv3 EBR cost more than every AR-15 I could think of except H&K and KAC.

You are getting screwed then. Seriously screwed as they only cost a bit more than a stock EBR.

Well, I do agree, WE guns NEED to get upgraded, that's RA Tech's "mission",but I don't know for you guys, but I prefer to pay less for a gun, and upgrade it with stuff I know, rather than having a high end gun, whose parts are nearly impossible to find!!

My 2 cents

I think I've seen you around other posts, so you might be aware that I run a WE SCAR DMR setup (semi only), and so do other guys on this forum. And as for myself, I can tell you, you can put every shot in the 20 VN Style mags on a human-sized target at 215 ft. . It's not a sniper rifle, it's a DMR, and that distance consistently, coupled with the awesome recoil, sound, feel and realism, sounds good enough to me. I don't care if the RS looks slightly better; just like all AEGs, it'll sound and feel like playing with a toy gun.
The SVD should be capable of achieving AT LEAST the performance of the SCAR.

The SVD should be capable of performing on "par" with the SCAR but I think what Kullwarrior is trying to point out is that the RS SVD AEG is going to be more consistent on a a shot per shot basis than a GBBR from WE.

Once RA-Tech starts putting stuff out for it the internally it should be fairly decent but the WE mags aren't great at all. I've owned a few of their guns. They're fun but very much like a pink VW Rabbit covered in stars. Interesting and not for everyone.

Most people who are running "sniper" platforms, and play that role don't much like the GBBR option.

The cycling of the action is too loud, nearly silent shots are a key advantage accruing to airsoft Snipers. One that is key to their success seeing as engagement ranges are not that much farther than a standard gun.

A GBBR SVD sounds cool.. but in practice most "serious" As Snipers won't go for it.

It'll be fine for the squad marksman role, which they're more suited for. They'll be no different than a longer AR GBBR in terms of accuracy and consistency i'm sure.
