Painting lower reciever

basically i got a tinted lower reciever and i wanna paint it over because tinted is stupid, so i want to know how to go about painting it. Obviously use Krylon flat black or a colour close to the top reciever.

Google/Youtube is a wonderful thing but Im feeling nice today. You will find that others are not so "caring".

This will apply to most things you want to paint. Remove the part you wish to paint, wash with a small amount of soap to remove any oil used in the moulding process, once dry I use a fine grain sandpaper or rough pad to lightly "texture" the plastic to give the paint something to hold on to, hang it on a wire coat hook somewhere you can afford to get dirty (outside), using light strokes spray until lightly coated with your primer, let dry, now using the same technique use the black x 2 coats with drying time in between, now you have a black part. Using Flat clear coat for extra protection if you want but thats up to you.

When I painted mine, I stripped the lower down completely. Scrubbed it with a scotch brite pad. Soap & water wash then wipe down with lacquer thinner. Painted inside & out. Looks good enough for me. Has many scratches on it now (I don't baby any equipment) but paint on inside masks 99% of them. When I did it I didn't have any plastic paint avalable (krylon fusion for example) so I used plain rustolium industrial flat black. It stuck plenty good.
