Its up to you for single or dual comm, keep in mind the second cord if not use will be another cord on your system (means more problems generally)
MSA sordin are atleast $150USD+Shipping, if you're consider cheaper option go with ZTactical, nothing but good thing about it. |

What radios do you guys use with the Real Steel MSA's ? Ya im willing to definitly spend 150 minimum on the headset it self. What confuses me is the whole 6 pin 10 pin thing and civilian radio compatibilty.

My team just went with the TP120 ends on them, they'll attach to any Ztactical/element PTT
You need to do a bit of rewiring to get it to work though and change out the Mic I run dual comms onto my Motorola talkabouts and it works like a charm |

I have a Linton and am using an avenger ptt with the sordins. I had peltors as well which were great I just liked the design of the sordins.
Stick with single comm, theres really no point in dual comms. Esspecially if you get a radio like the wuxon which has dual channel. Call or email Steve at Srs tactical in Calgary. He can hook you up with everything. |

I ahve a chinesse radio (some frequency are not lock as the canadian version have) and it run great bought it for about 100$ shipping free and I run a troat mic that I paid about 150$ and it runs awesome I can use both UHF and VHF I can program whatever frequency I want in it. The radio have a plug for Kenwood 2 pin type of connection so anything else than that it is not compatible.

Could someone give me their input on the z-tactical MSA Sordins? I would like an opinion from someone who has used it... I run a GBBR and if the noise from that causes the mics to cancel it out all the time then yea not worth it. Thanks in advance!

But IMO, the Zsordin/element brand ones are junk. Most of my team ran them last year and we all had problems with them. Mine went down after about 3 games, I think from the moisture that accumulates from sweating. The mic was also not working out of the box, and when I checked out what was wrong, it was their piss poor soldering job that fell apart. I would go with the real deal if you want to make sure you have something that works in 6 months. Not mention they are tits for RS shooting too. As far as PTT's go, I've seen some guys add an inline amplifiers to match the impedance to a civillian radio, or they swapped their mic for a knock off mic. For IRENE I borrowed a TCI PTT from a guy and it was by far the best way to go. It has an amp built in to it for impedance matching and a volume switch on the PTT itself so you can turn it down when someone is talking to you while someone else on comms is yelling about something. The only draw back about the TCI is the price.

If you want dual comms, you can always get a TP120 Push to Talk wired for dual comms. TEA Headsets (www.teaheadsets.com) can make you a single or dual comm U94 PTT. It has a single downlead to the PTT and then two radio leads. They use a mini hirose connector for the radio leads, so if you ever decide to change radios you just have to get the hirose pigtail and not a new PTT. I also have a Peltor PTT which I had made by Peltor a while ago, but it had to come from Sweden.
A TEA single comm PTT will run $165 USD plus shipping. Here is a Peltor dual PTT for single downlead headsets (MBITR style.) Mine terminate in two pin Kenwood plugs for Wouxun and Puxing radios. |

I just picked up my entire comms system minus the radio from SRS tactical. Great guys they went through a whole list of products that may suit my need and choose the best one. Anyone looking to get RS comms setup check them out.
