Cool,I have 3 motors right now so I'm not realy wanting to sent them over sea,one was already and it's $$$$ to sent it. But I have heard the new motors in the 2012's are going to be "fixed" but I think they said that about the last ones as well. Thanks for the input guy's

as far as my research can find, the new PTWs will be shipped with the same old 490A. and i have been told by multiple people that the price is going up by as much as 25% in 2012. but this info is just hearsay, not direct info from systema. even if they do change motors, they will still ship PTWs with the old motor until they run out of stock on it.
i recommend DTT for both the motor mod and the hop-up mod. great guys over there at Double Tap Tactical!

2012 motors aren't going to be fixed. Tackleberry has viewed the new ones and they are also going to suffer from the same problem. My team has had the DTT fix and they have been working for seasons, We had one that completely failed/burned out and it was up and running like new after we gave it to DTT. Shot 8-10 mags straight through it without a hitch when we got it back. That was done last season and still working beautifully.
EDIT: Its not hearsay that they are going up 25% it says on there systema facebook page due to materials cost increasing and a bunch of other stuff they have no choice but to increase the prices. |

Considering your username as well as your tag below that, I have a hard time believing you.

There are slight differences in some 490 motors,I have a 490B,490A and a 490 that is from a ver. up kit that is a 2010 super max model. The 490B has a 14Turn motor and the other two are 11 turn motors. The best one buy far was the one I have from the ver. up kit. But some use the bearing to adjust the armature and some are a "fixed" set up.
As for the price going up,they'ev changed to a stainless cyl. and the did something different with the electronics. There was a few things they changed,is it worth the mark up? Only time will tell

to avoid any hassle just send your motor out to Double tap tactical they get it done fast. All three of my PTW and two spare motor have been modded by them, there is a guide at PTW forum but after reading that I conclude that it's cheaper and safer for my sanity to just send it out.

I think we should all lobby eagle force to build a superior PTW motor lol
If they could make a PTW motor half as good as their EF1300, you'd never have to worry about motor problems ever again. |
