M4 Gbbr witch one to choose
So i'm looking to buy an M4 Gbbr and after reading tons of review on the WE couple on the Kwa and others on WA....i am more confused and undecided that before.
Contender are: We m4/416 open bolt Kwa m4 pts gbbr I understand that the kwa is fairly new and is based on the WA system with Kwa own recipie. WE-tech have good and bad review , mainly due to the ''Loose'' tolerance and finish. I plan to modifies the M4. I know ra-tech make a lot of internal parts for the We m4. does any part is necessary to buy to make the gun reliable? Since the kwa is new but based one the Wa i should have acces to WA aftermarket part? or am i wrong Any advice and argument why one have the upper hand.

Go with WE. Its a very solid system. If you do have to change parts they are available and not expensive. The only part you need to change is to add an npas if you want to game it.

Have you considered KJW's M4? I'm gaming one for more than a year and it didn't let me down, except when the lower plastic body broke after dropping it. The only Con I found of it is the Thermold mags, that are wider and tighter in pouches. With the cradle velocity reducer, I get a 5-6 fps range on the chrony, it is very stable. Otherwise, go with the WE, because there's plenty of parts available for it.

I'd say WE cause the open bolt is apparently very reliable. And mags are cheaper and theres a handy guide on the leaks and how to fix them easily.

I had two WE GBBRs (M4 and 416). Sold them both because the mags were 50% reliable, at best.
Waiting for the KWA. I have high confidence the KWA GBBR mags won't be chronic leakers. |

The WE 20rd mags are rock solid.

Again halfish of mags will come with a small leak that is easily fixed. I believe z0ng has a guide on it.

I'd say KWA, cause their Bolts are reinforced and the body/trades are top notch - but like Eeyore said, WE has more parts available, the KWA LM4 PTS Magpul edition is still banned in the US so parts for it are scarce.
I like my KWA, but if something does break i'll be pretty upset, lol. I can't say much about WE, I never owned a GBBR from WE, just KWA. But from the KWA side I can say that their guns are amazing, consistent fire rate, the LM4 magpul gets around 410-420 fps, shoots at around 13 rounds per second, is open bolt design as well. The body is solid, the gun is 8 pounds with the mag, as long as you keep her lubed she'll last a long time. But again the selling point for me is the bolt having the contact points reinforced with a tiny piece of what looks like hardened steel |

KWA Magpul....I almost ordered it until I saw made in Taiwan on the lower receiver ...for me ESTHETICS is the most important...that is why Inokatsu is a major contender at the moment Last edited by leblanc74; February 16th, 2012 at 21:17.. |

It's like Coke Vs Pepsi at this point.
There's plus or minuses to both systems. You said you planned on modifying your M4, I'd say go WE. Cheap-ish start off costs and the upgrades aren't ridiculous either. Combine that with IMO, good-great aesthetics and it works for my expectations. WE fits my budget and my plans for future builds. It may not fit yours, so I'd suggest see all 3 systems in person first. All have good and bad points. |

True enough, it is made to be a training weapon not for Airsoft gameplay. But thankfully that part isn't engraved, its white paint so can be taken off if you wish to do so. Whereas the engraved sections are nice. But hey to each their own right?! It does say though "Manufactured in Taiwan by KWA" |

This is why its hard to get parts for it. She is a new rifle, I believed released December 2011, the "Legal" version is being released either Q2 or Q3 of this year.. When that happens maybe more parts will be released, but till then WE would really be the way to go due to replacement parts and upgrading parts Also here are the pics of the reinforced bolt, which again is a nice thing out of the box Last edited by Sacre; February 16th, 2012 at 22:23.. |

Its just that the weapon was made to simulate a real rifle, with its heavy steel bolt and "System 7 two" gas system, she has a hard kick and is good on gas as well. On top of that it is very unique to you, not everyone owns one over in the USA, now, there is a negative to this as well - parts. But so far from the construction, the requirement for replacement parts will be lower than those that are built of lower quality material - and newer parts will soon be coming out as the other "legal" version of this rifle will be released soon. So Yes, I really enjoy this rifle, but i'd still say go with WE, cheap, many replaceable parts available, etc |
