M1A1 thompson

Was not to sure where i should post this so i figured here.
Any way i have a M1A1 that seems to be what i call "upper cutting" the shots no matter how much i turn down the hop up. But it seems if i use a heavy bb its a bit better. The thing is...i don't always have a heavy BB is there something maybe failing internally that would cause this? I'm thinking hop up but I'm still new to this and not very comfortable taking a gun apart yet any help would be nice.

This gun is super easy to take down.

First, clean your inner barrel.

If that doesn't work, remove and check your hop up.

+1 make sure it's very clean, oil or dirt in the barrel can have the effect your describe.

A lot of things are TM clones... That doesn't exactly help your search query.
