Adding Safety to Laylax Zero Trigger

I want to install the VSR-10 safety lever to my Zero trigger. I heard somewhere that the V-trigger has a safety but I don't see it anywhere. Why don't the upgraded triggers have them? And has anyone done this? I suppose it's not a major issue but I find the gun looks off without the safety lever and it's still better to have it.

Why do you need a safety lever on a bolt action rifle?
If the gun is cocked, the piston can still release on it's own if your sears are worn.
Once fired, there's no BB in the chamber and no possible way it can shoot on it's own. It's the safest thing in airsoft.

Precisely. No chambered BB = weapon safe.

I typically don't run around with the APS2 cocked anyway. A BB's not chambered until I'm ready to shoot someone.
Zero triggers are very touchy and can take very little effort to fire, especially with worn sears.

Fair enough. It also occurs to me that the time it takes to cock it and load a BB isn't a big deal at the ranges the rifle is restricted to, right?

the time it takes to load your rifle isn't a big issue in CQB lol
I've taken out quite a few guys slam firing my VSR at close range.
Either everyone underestimates how quickly you can reload a BAR, or nobody expects you to when they're already shooting at you

Yeah I'm surprised how fast I can run the bolt on this thing, even though the spring appears to be about an M120. My old clone VSR had an M130 and needed a truck with a winch to rack the bolt.
