dud gun from Revolution Airsoft Inc
I purchased an airsoft gun from revolution airsoft 3 weeks ago and we have not yet been able to shoot the gun.I brought the gun to a shop with 7 years experience fixing guns and he found the spring needed changing there was no lube inside the gun and that there were teeth missing on two parts and this was on a gun that had not been shot yet. After it was looked at the gun fired for 3 seconds and went dead.Revolution tells me and i quote do you have another battery because all gECHO1 guns have been upgraded which makes it hard for small batteries to fire them and there was a typo in the manual the batteries need 16 hours not 8.Which is another joke because they did not send a manual with the gun and still did not send one after several requests. Finally i asked for my money back 4 days ago and have not heard back.BEWARE WHEN DEALING WITH REVOLUTION AIRSOFT INC

If you had a problem you should have contacted Revolution Airsoft about it in first place not take it to a local gun smith and have them open it. That just "void" your warranty and of course RA isn't going to give you a refund on an opened gearbox airsoft gun.
Its like having a problem with your computer after you bought it... so you opened it up or take it to another repair shop they or you breaks the warranty sticker and you decided to take it back to the original place of purchased and whinning to get a refund. |

If RA's current stock of guns is still shooting 440ish fps, it may be the battery. Small 8.4V batteries have issues pulling such heavy springs. Try a lipo or a 9.6V

In any cases, and correct me if I'm wrong, Echo1 guns are not meant to use such springs... Unless your intentions were to hang that gun on your wall, I don't know many fields allowing +400 fps guns... It's kind of obvious that you had to swap the spring for a less hot one. Besides, using a lipo and keeping that spring (correct me again) can prematurely destroy your gun as it is an entry level gun... Personnaly, the first I would have done is to change the spring for let's say somthing like a m110... and than, try to use it...

I recently bought a pair of Echo1 AKs from Revolution (the AKM and the CPW), and have had no problems. I had them opened up to drop in a 110 spring, had them regressed and reshimmed, which I do with all new "Canadian" guns that shoot over 400.
Echo1 guns are not built to withstand springs that high. And while I don't think it would happen that fast, such a high tension spring could certainly destroy internals. |

This is the issue... the gun came "pre upgraded .. to beyond the guns's ability to support the power..
the very first thing that has to be done to make the gun playable , voids the warranty . So .. what does this tell you? such guns are sold AS IS with no warranty .. and to make it shoot you should expect to have to crack it open and at the very least swap the spring.. and possibly replace other parts that were broken when they tested the gun to ensure it was shooting 430+ This is what you are buying.. when you choose entry level guns. it sucks to not be able to use your new gun "out of the box" .. but when you buy cheap.. this is what you get. The failure here is not Revolution's Product.. it's the buyers expectations.. As my Father used to say "you can't make a silk purse out of sow's ear"

Unfortunately you did not do your homework before buying and as a result you feel like you got shafted.
I suggest you learn from it and move on.

It also doesn't speak highly of the gun tech, at a shop with 7 years experience, if they couldn't get it running to where it could be tested for more than a few seconds, let alone one that could be gamed.

dude gun
[QUOTE=Brian McIlmoyle;1621861]You cracked into it.. the gun is yours.. From what I have heard Revolution stands behind their products.. but if you void the warranty by your own actions.. How is this their fault?
I'd say Revolution ( and every other retailer) should beware of dealing with you .[/QUare you kidding me first of all revolution is telling you to crack into the gun to down grade the gun.Second of all from what you hear !!!!! if you have not personally bought a gun from them shut your pie hole. And thirdly myself and every other person should beware of listing to you |
