EA Gear: Decent Brand?
Hello,
I was looking around eHobby Asia and I found this set of BDUs: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ea-gear-b...-2007-ver.html (eHA is an ASC sponsor, right? I won't get that link taken down?) The company that makes it is some obscure company I haven't heard of, EA Gear. Does anyone have any experience with this company? Is the fabric of good quality? Is the stitching durable? Are the colours okay? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

EA Gear = eHobby Asia Gear.
Which just means generic made in china stuff. Same idea as Evike labeling their generic gear as Matrix branded. It's better than listing the brand as "Generic" or "Made in China". Stuff will work, but don't expect it to compare to a real brand.

OH.
They're clever. I've also found another brand that makes the Type 07, ACM. Are they any good? Thanks for the info on EA, though.

It doesn't rip after one wash <--- True story I had a Type 65 repro unifrom that fell apart after one wash.
A friend of mine managed to get his hands on 07 digital before it was common. Turns out he got the ones hastily made for a Major PLA parade. The Button holes where mismatched, and it fell apart. The way to tell if the Type 07 uniform is to look for the PLA factory red proof markings. There is a whole article showing where to check to make sure the uniform is legit. Or buy a brand someone else has tried and it hasn't ripped for them yet.. Last edited by Kingsix; June 21st, 2012 at 18:42.. |

Don't buy replica of CPLA gears.
Real CPLA gears are mostly fine, but the relicas of CPLA gears are mostly like shit. Plus, $79.99 for a set of 07 camo is way too expensive. I will try find you a place for 07 camo in China, if you want it that much...

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=17461748282& it didn't say "07", "issued camo" etc, because if the seller do that, the TAOBAO website will delete it, but it is real 07 camo. Not sure if they have your size though.

Ah. I see.
So is it a full set, or is it just the tunic? And if it's just the tunic, where would I find the pants? Sorry for all the questions, it's just that new ones keep popping up after the old ones have been answered. <_<
