No Sound: Wouxun + Peltor PTT + Comtac II (Z-Tactical)

Hi all

So I finally received my Comtac II from eBairSoft yesterday

Dropped two batteries in it, hooked it up to my PTT (replica too, two pins), which was obviously plugged into the Wouxun.

Pressed the two volume buttons on the Headset, heard it buzz so I know it was on (was also hearing the mic's picking up the surrounding, although quality was not real good).

However, I couldn't hear anything from the radio at all. Pressing the PTT triggered the radio to transmit, so this at least seems to work.

Question: Am I doing something wrong, or forgot something, or did I most liekly got a dud?

Note: I didn't plugged the Boom mic for this test as I figured it wouldn't change anything

Not sure what you mean by "didnt plugged ino the Boom mic" but when you have the PTT plugged it you need to use the mic in the headset.

Also the repro PTT is sometimes hard to get the headset plug into. On my replica PTT's I have to twist the plug into the PTT to get it to seat all of the way.

Had to twist and push real hard the first time to get the connector fully in

I assumed it was correctly connected yesterday but it was not
