Prometheus Hop Up Tensioner
http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol..._Flat_type.htm
Very close to the Firefly nub that ASC raves about. Does it really make that much of a difference in comparison to R-Hop or in conjunction with? They also have the rubber sleeve with "zero hump" to be used with the nub - great prices I have to say for prometheus as well. http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...AEG_series.htm |

consider that the rhop as a system with a shaved hopup sleeve and mnub with the rhop patch, this would be a close approximation. Using this nub doesn't require you to sand off the barrel off the hopup arm but the material m ight not be as soft or have the same compression qualities of the mnub.
Mnub is cheaper and you can do 2 standard hopup nubs with 1 mnub... so if you want to guineapig an rhop patch with this, I'm sure the guys on asm would be interested in hearing your results... but knowing those guys, they've have already tried. |

Whats the difference between the "flat type" and "bridge type"? - other than the obvious concave cut out in the nub - but more so result wise

The prommy set was just released. So it hasn't made its way around yet.
The Firefly nub was found on ehobbyasia (or ebairsoft) but it was always out of stock. |

There's ZERO reason to get that Prometheus moundless sleeve. 1 minute of work on a regular sleeve will net you the same result. Seriously, I just converted 2 sleeves last night. Last edited by Stealth; October 9th, 2012 at 14:46.. |

it's not hard to convert a standard sleeve... just flip it inside out, shave the mound with an xacto and shave the key that aligns it to the barrel. Get some gasket maker and fill the channel on your barrel.. it peels out if you want to go back to normal. Or use something like white elmer's glue fill it, wipe it, let it dry so you prevent airleaks from there. Then your modified rubber can have any orientation, the shaved mound should be fine if you were clean with the shave, but taking out the alignment strip allows you to use the side of the rubber which is perfectly cylindrical.
Or you could R-hop :P |

So I bought both the Prometheus hop up tensioner and their moundless bucking. In both guns that I've tried them in the gun experiences an fps loss of at least 50. Also, the moundless bucking seems to be too tight or something and bb's keep getting stuck in the bucking. I'm so confused... shaved off a regular bucking and still experiencing the big FPS loss.
*EDIT* tried in both a prometheus neo hop up, and a vfc hop up. Both using Madbull 6.03 tbb's
