VFC scar MK16 parts

Hey forum, asking this for a friend. He's interested in the VFC scar MK16 CQC and he was wonder how easy replacement parts are to come by. By that, I think he means gears, gearbox, hopup etc. He wants to know which stores sell them and are m4 or other rifle parts compatible with the MK16. Thanks guys!

so being a v2 gearbox, all the parts should be interchangeable with any m4 v2 box right?

I needed the occasional part for my VFC SCAR - when I still owned it. I got everything I needed from WGC.

It was a quite solid rifle, and nothing inside ever broke, but I did manage to loose a few external parts.

I sold my SCAR off mainly because it didn't match the theme my team (at the time) was going for. We went with a Bundeswehr representation, so a G36 was the better fit - quite literally, because we were using German web gear, and only G36 mags could fit the pouches perfectly.

A second reason was that I switched to only using gas guns, and the WE SCAR GBBR has too many annoying little technical issues for my tastes.

And finally, I simply stopped seeing the SCAR as a viable combat rifle. No major military has ever adopted them on a wide-scale basis, and there are no doubt sound reasons for that. I understand players wanting something different, but there are better choices than the SCAR. It was designed as an improvement on the M16/M4, but never proved to be anything better. In my opinion, as long as you stick with something that takes AK mags or M16/M4 mags there are a number of better choices out there than the SCAR.

haha, i see. well yeah, i could see players wanting something different. all the guns on the field are so generic, always some kind of m4. if it were me, and i had the money, i would get the ACR/masada. it just has the cool factor for me.

*weren't the US military looking for a replacement for their m4 and the scar and ACR were one of the contenders?

VFC also has all the parts for their guns available directly from their support channel in Taiwan. They can bill you through paypal and send you pretty much every and any part you ask for.

Email Janet Chen at : janet@vegaforce.com.tw

yeahh, i looked through their site, but the parts they list there aren't really comprehensive. i guess they don't expect their guns to break haha

No one lists their parts.

If you email VFC in English and tell them what you want you'll get it. Usually pretty quick too.

Try that with a few of the other folks who build airsoft guns and post your results.

I think scars use M4 hopups. I know a V2 gearbox.

Mach1 got a batch of parts for VFC AEG and GBBR not too long ago, so you can hit them up. Pretty good guys there though some don't like their pricing on their weaponry.
Picked up a spare bolt and replacement for my original there when they got it in. The replacement part was less than what VFC/GB-Tech offered to sell it to me at. =D
