Another CADPAT thread - Recommended Brands
Recently moved up from the US and joined a Canadian Milsim team.
I'm looking to buy a cadpat BDU. Been scrubbing the forums trying to get a sense of where to get and who makes the best non-issue cadpat. As I understand it - Issued cadpat is generally not recommended (for a variety of reasons). This is fine by me as most of the stuff you find from surplus is in mediocre condition anyway. Regarding non-issue civi cadpat - Need some help here. Seems like all he reputable non-issue brands are out of stock. (CPgear, Flecktarn, etc..) Can someone recommend a good brand alternative? I'm a little unsure about the quality of stuff you see on e-bay, especially the Hong Kong stuff (although the Cadpat ACU does look very interesting) I've seen Parklands and SGS locally. Are they any good? I've seen mixed reviews on Parklands. Anyone know anything about SGS? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks |

I have a pair of parklands paints. Two thoughts:
1) You won't be able to mix and match...parklands has a different brown and a darker green. 2) I also find them to be very light-weight...good in the summer, but really cold the rest of the year. (so light you can see through them when you hold them up.) I did get some stuff from Tiger111HK, it is better then parklands...but not great quality material. Don't know the brand off hand.

Mine had the "CADPAT" tags which I swapped out for a six inch strip of OD velcro loop side. An example of the brand: http://www.airsoftcore.com/forum/ind...howtopic=44749 |

I have a pair of parkland pants and after one season they have totally washed out and that is even after trying the vinegar trick as well as washing them in cold water inside out. I would recommend avoiding them.

Look up Warrior Gear on Facebook, its a small shop outside Petawawa. I have one of their molle vests and my nephew has thier molle chest rigs. Both are solid and very druable. They have made many costum items for me in cadpat at very resonable prices. I highly recommend them.
