Wiley X Full Seal Question Are they Full Seal or not?
OK this maybe controversial but i gota ask anyway, the Wiley X Tactical series have shooting glasses that are full seal as in there is a foam gasket that goes around the side as well hence making them full seal and they also have a strap that you can put on so they wont come off
Are they considered a full Seal or not? this one in particular, however the other ones they are shown have the same function http://www.wileyx.com/EcommSuite/Pro...1&ItemCode=291 and these are prob fine http://www.wileyx.com/EcommSuite/Pro...G1&ItemCode=71

I have the XL1's and feel safe at all times when airsofting. However I don't think they're allowed where full seal paintball goggles are required (paintball fields that specifically state that, etc).

oh yeah im not talking about the paintball fields where they require paintball goggles.
more like the milsims where they want full seal goggles as long as they are rated properly. so im guessing they are fine yeah? cuz i tired a pair on and they fitted wonderfully but was skeptical about the fact that people might not consider them full seal even tho they are "full seal"

I don't use the foam with mine, because they tend to fog up if you do that.

Although they are considered full seal I would not recommend them at all. It is because they are fully sealed that there is an issue. They are a single pane lense (no thermal break like dual pane) and because they are fully sealed they have no air movement between the lense and face. I had a pair of sg1's and had to remove 80% of the foam so they wouldnt fog. Even with the foam out I would fog them up very badly in high activity or rain. I tried all types of anti fog on them and none really worked.
