How NOT to lose AI Grenade parts.
Hey all,
Im interested in getting a timed AI grenade and spoon kit. I was wondering how one would go about NOT losing all the parts...aka the pull pin AND the spoon parts. Pictures are worth more then a thousand words. Cheers

So really..the spoon kit just increases that chance to loose parts... is there really any benefit from it, or is it just for looks. I don't really want to be throwing a grenade with a dangling metal "hook" attached to it at people.

Well with the spoon kit, you can pull the pin, realize, oh shit I didn't want to do that, and put the pin back as long as the spoon is depressed still.

Fluorescent flamingly gay pink duct tape. (Works better than the pink spray paint that you can see previously attempted.)

So when does the spoon actually come off? I pull the pin and I can hold onto that but can I grab the spoon as well?
The reason behind the spoon is as Spike said, I want to be able to have the grenade primed but be able to put the pin back in if I dont need it.

Daishi, it works like a real grenade. The timer starts when you let go of the spoon and it springs off.

It wants to come off when you pull the pin. By gripping the grenade around the body (and the spoon) you can pull the pin without detonation. When you release the spoon, pressure will push it off and the timer is engaged. Further time spent reflecting on the timer function of this is a bad idea and it is highly recommended you dispose of the grenade in an orderly but expedient fashion.

I still recommend attaching a piece of identifier tape to the pin. If you're like me, you'll heave grenades into structures to clear them out, then want to come up on aim as people dive out like retards. Pins tend to get lost mostly as the user focuses on either switching task or aiming their throw.

On timer tornados the spoon works like it does on a real grenade. That being said, once you pull the pin out the pressure will push the spoon up slightly, making it very hard to put the pin back in if you change your mind about throwing it.
On impact Tornados the spoon does nothing. I find them to be useful though as it gives me a way to hang the tornados off my gear. But the spoon DOES NOT come off on the impact kits. |

Im trying to make my mind up on the timer and impact.... they both have pros and cons, but I think id find more use for the timers, as Id like to be able to bounce or roll my grenades, or leave them as im exiting a building with people coming in after me....
Or a fancy trip wire.
