Is CA33E a good gun?
I'm a G3 fan but wasn't sure to buy the TM-G3 SG1, so, I made some research and find a full metal classic army G3.
I read some read some reviews and it seem good, but now i want public comments. Is this gun's good? Have it major cons? (the only one i found was his poor availibilty in canada...) And if possible i'd like a video showing this airsoft firing... Thanks |

I've never owned it or used it but I wanted one a while back so I read everything about it. It seems like an awsome gun. If it had any major flaws I'm sure someone would have mentioned them in a review.
Go with it, I think you shant be disoppointed. |

The CA33 is a good airsoft.
The TM G3 looks like a toy.

The tappet plate will need to be replaced as well as the selector plate. They both are made of softer plastic then what is required and they get chewed up farily quick. ( both these issues are backed up by online reviews.)
It's a very sturdy gun that has lots of metal.

Keep in mind that the CA33E is not a G3 varient, it is instead modelled after the HK33. I've replaced almost everything internally except the wiring, gears, motor and trigger. I've also had to replace the body itself (thanks again ILLusion) and the stock has broken and been glued three times.

worth it :P the gun's actually very good. you dont actually have to replace nearly as much as harley did, but it did make his a rape gun. one problem i hear is rather common is the hopup unit isnt formed all that well and comes loose and doesnt shoot all that accurately. fortunately it's a one piece hopup exactly like that of any m16 with a metal body so finding a replacement is a cinch.

Good luck trying to find one in Canada, though, at least in the near future.
AFAICT, Spec Arms used to be the main source for them (quite cheap, too), but Will's recent problems and impending vacation means that you're not getting anything from there for a bit. He has to restock after he comes back, which I suppose won't be a problem for those who can wait a while. Tru can order them from the TMC, but the prices I've been quoted are either a little higher or much higher than Spec Arms. The little higher was still an acceptable price ($600 range), but the much higher quote was simply too much (~$700 range). I'm pretty sure CA's raised its pricing, that and Tru doesn't get a steady flow of CA orders. M1 Airsoft has them listed, but all CAs are apparently "temperory unavailable" from them, no price tag either. 007 has CAs listed, but no 33E. I've yet to ask them if they'd order one and for how much. Personally, Tru's pretty much my last hope.

Still kicking myself for not buying one when Spec Arms had them on special for $490.

TM does not make an HK33E. The CA lowcaps are very well made, however. I don't know if the KSC ones are compatible, though.

Banana? The HK33 does not take M4/M16 style magazines, it takes these:
