Personal experience has shown me that Emerson has poor quality gear at best (As far as clothing goes, SOME of their nylon gear is okay for airsofting) I used to own a set of the "Crye" cuts in tan and those only lasted one game. First day using them the kneepad pockets ripped most of the way off at the top, and the stitching on the inseam came undone on about 6 or so inches of my left leg. I will never touch any Emerson stuff with a 40 foot cattle prod ever again.
My personal opinion if you're going for multicam either go real-deal or go home. They aren't the most expensive thing out there, but they do require saving your money. Good news is that you only have to buy them once, and they will probably last longer then you in this world XD I've dealt with these guys many times before. Give them a look over. http://www.ctoms.ca/products/crye-g3-combat-pant However, if that is too far out of your price range, give Allwin a try. They're a little more expensive then Emerson, but leaps and bounds better in terms of quality and accuracy towards the multicam pattern. http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...oducts_id=1298 The pictures shown there don't do the actual pattern any justice. Just look around here on the forum and you'll find a pattern comparison somewhere. Pretty hard to tell the difference!

Got the Allwin Gen3 Combat set in MC, so far it's great and comfy; Colors seems on par with Crye MC but haven't made a side by side comparison
AirsoftDepot.ca sells them |

I bought the Allwin set. Its good for clone gear. I made the purchase cause I needed the bdu and didn't have the funds at that time for the crye

Hmm, so it starting to sound like i should go with the allwin set or put together one with tru-spec.
Only downer about that is the emerson cut of pants that i have linked are perfect for the applications i need from them. My goal in the end is to run a very simple chest rig with 6-8 mag capacity (located and pending purchase) or a battle-belt with a few mag pouches (situation dictating of course) and with the pants, i should be able to carry 4 mags in the integrated mag housing pockets. Im trying to make this kit as streamlined as i possibly can, if you know what i mean. |

If your on a budget and dont care too much about the cut. Sord makes a very well designed line of bdu's and they come in around 60 to 70 a piece. They are available through sord usa or you can purchase them through optactical. I bought a pair of the pants and they are awesome for the price.

SORD , they are an Australia/US gear manufacturer , had some of thier products in trial with the cf for the new loadcarrying system.

for emerson/tmc wise their not half bad for budget bdus, i own a set of their atacs and i can surely say you will get what you pay for, after snipping off the excess string and add some strengthened stitching (optional) the bdu will hold its own

so, in the end, is it worth it to pick up the Emersons and "mod" them by reinforcing the stitching?
and if you dont mind me asking, how do the colors hold up (fading/no fading etc...? so, after some searching iv heard raving news about the stuff over at UR-Tactical. now, UR claims to be made with legit Crye 50/50 NYCO, but im just asking for a second opinion. in the meantime, after some searching ive heard raving news about the stuff over at UR-Tactical. now, UR claims to be made with legit Crye 50/50 NYCO, but im just asking for a second opinion. http://www.ur-tactical.com/index.php...ategory_id/119 |

IMO if you're buying a BDU/ACU that you're going to put through a lot of game time you should just go with the good stuff. The good stuff really isn't much more expensive. I got a Tru-Spec Crye Multicam ACU for $150 including shipping from OpsGear.com. It is true Crye Multicam 50/50 RipStop and never fades. Emerson stuff does not have the same color tones under varying lighting conditions and fades drastically after only a few washes, meaning; if you have anything that is true multicam or some other non-true multicam brand on at the same time they will not match and will look an little funny. An extra $50 on a BDU/ACU pays for itself in dividends.
