Hurricane Upgrade Kits

Let me suggest to you guys, if your going to buy a hurrican upgrade kit to 400FPS SPEND THE $90 AND BUY A NEW PSITON!!! Pay for them to upgrade your weapon. This would save you a lot of hastle!

So what he's REALLY trying to say is that the piston that comes with the Hurricane FTK is crap. As for the $90, I don't know whether he's referring to the cost of the kit or the cost of a new piston (which shouldn't be $90). That part of the post is up for thought.

As usual, if you don't really know what you're doing, bring it to a gunsmith. Or it'll all be over but the crying.

Ques que fuck? Since when did pistons come with Hurricane FTK's? I just put one into my MP5K and there was no replacement piston.

Everything but the gears, tappet plate, piston, trigger assembly & anti-reversal latch were swapped.

What the hell is you talkin bout Nomad?

There are NO replacement pistons in the kits. As far as I know.

I know that, Thats why it is important to buy an upgrade piston. Do not keep the the Piece of crap piston that the gun comes with if you use a hurricane upgrade kit. Hurricane kits are sold all over the U.S, where i live i have the luxury of being able to drive 15 minutes to the states to pick up my weapons, bb's and so forth.

this still doesnt make sense... explain what happened... you just keep saying get a new piston get a new piston..

some only use stock TM pistons and aftermarket polycarbonate pistons so that the piston gets screwed instead of the gears getting chewed/screwed..

So are you openly admitting to smuggling airsoft guns across the border?

Also, What spring was included in your Full Tune Up Kit? If you got the 120S, then ya, that spring is pretty hard on the internals. I changed mine out right away for a PDI 150%.

Mmmm PDI 150%.:-D

120s.. thatll get you in the 420-430fps range with .20s

if you are not running with torque-up gears you will run into problems.

hell, i ran into problems using systema's infinity helical gears. the half tooth piston kept eating itself up on a 170% top power spring.
so i downgraded to a 150% PDI and it helped.
