Playing Airsoft in Canadian Forces Training Areas

I live in Fredericton NB, just 20 minutes from CFB Gagetown.

I wanted to start a thread to see if anyone out there has been able to get access to Canadian bases to play force on force Airsoft. For everyone's Situational Awareness, I have been able to book parts of the training area here, but have only been been allowed to have military memebers shooting at paper targets. Which is fine for breeching and clearing exercises, but we all know it's way more fun to shoot at a moving target.

Any info would be great, and I can let everyone know of my own progress to help other people play at their local base, and to use their facilities.

Typically you have to be a member posted to the base, and have an airsoft club authorized by the base commander to be allowed to actually play in the facilities.

Like Brian said there is a thread on here if you run some searches for it, that covers this entire topic and the one success story that happened, but also ended up getting shut down so it became a non success story.

Awesome, I was lazy and didn't search around, to be honest I didn't think anybody was already talking about this. Thanks again!

^ If you can't find it. I believe it was someone at Cold Lake who tried to set something up.

We tried to set this up in the past. We were invited to play against the base airsoft team, at the Forces base in Edmonton, in their training facility. After review by their COs, they decided against it, due to liability. I'd imagine you'd get a similar response from every active CFB.

our group was invited out to our local CFB last year and all was apparently going very well then all of a sudden a directive from Ottawa came out and things shut down. the organizers of the games (CF members) have been working very hard to reestablish the footing there and it is hoped that we will once again have winter access to the "Kill house" and also to their outdoor area....

I was able to find the other thread, and the owner did a awesome job of explaining how to start a airsoft club and did most of the official work, so all you have to do is copy and paste, literally.
I can see Ottawa having a issue with liability, but thats why they have waivers. If Gagetown can have hunters with actual weapons rustling through the trees tracking moose and bears, then they sure as heck can let some airsofters sling plastic at each other.
If you know anyone who is trying to get access to their local training area, can you get them to find me? Strength in numbers, once one of us cracks the red tape, we can set a presidence for others to follow.
Cobrjr122 I'm gonna send you a pm
