It is a cheaper gun but Yes, for the price it is worth it, same deal with polymer KingArms (for the most part) they're actually impressive for the price.

I have the CM-16 in black and have gamed i a few times. Currently have about 25k bb's through it between plinking and gaming.
Now I am also fairly new to airsoft but have no complaints about the gun other than you may notice a bit of mag well slop and possible feed issues with some generic plastic mags. I cured this with a 1/2 long piece of sticky backed fuzzy velcro on the inside of the the rear mag well. Also I'd get a spare battery. Below is a video using mine. *WARNING* Some parts may contain colourful language. It's a V2 gearbox so there are lots of after market parts for it.

Some of their newer ones, like the Toptech guns have the odd proprietary part, but it's still mostly a TM clone |

Yes and yes, may as well answer while we're here.
Maple Ridge Paintball is where a lot of the LMAG boys play. Optix runs his crew at Panther still (I think, correct me if I'm wrong Julian). On the island, the largest organization is Northern Arms Airsoft and it has six fields to choose from and we play every weekend between Nanaimo and Victoria. Higher up on the island is Comox Valley Airsoft Academy and they have a private field there, then there is Bad Company, a smaller club who has fields in Nanaimo/Nanoose Bay. North Island Airsoft runs out of Campbell River.
