Contemplating on doing WW2 (pointers and info)

Hello to all WW2 enthusiasts, I am contemplating on doing a WW2 kit. I am already doing Vietnam so I have some items that I can use towards the WW2 theme. I was just wondering on some basic info for doing it. I am not doing a German theme what so ever due to family history. I am looking to do an American theme paratrooper or ranger is what I have narrowed it down to. I have a huge cart at airsoft depot waiting and it's roughly 1000 plus tax and shipping, I know some items they don't have which I have in my World war supply cart such as holster and other bits needed. I would just like to get some pointers before I take the jump into WW2. If I decide to go WW2 all my modern guns and equipment go up for sale.

Items I already have
1911A1
M1 Helmet
.45 ammunition pouch

This place will have virtually everything you need, and doesn't generally sell farby inaccurate garbage:

I would vouch for At the Front.

Ive ordered from them two or three times in the past couple of years, and they are terrific in all aspects. Their products are top quality.

Their reproduction gear is highly authentic and accurate in its portrayal of WWII era gear.

If $1000 is your budget, then spend that money at At the Front. You can get a complete paratrooper impression:

I have ordered this exact impression, and their service is very prompt and efficient.

Ok thanks guys. A grand isn't my budget I have just been pricing things out. In order to get this equipment all my modern crap is going everything from my riggers belt to my molle vest and all the fixings, guns included. I can't have 3 really expensive load outs and the Nam isn't going that's for sure so it leaves my modern stuff to go. I'll defenetlt check out that site tonight after work.

I also recommend you make contact with the existing US airborne unit in Ontario and liaise with them regarding unit standards for kit. Sucks to spend money on something you later find out you can't use.

WW2 chatter for Ontario on ASC is pretty quiet.

You may want to.

Join Lee's forum: http://ontarioairsoftwwiireenactors.com/ He's been up over his M1 Helmet with work as of late so getting officially signed up may take a wee bit of time.

Join Jamie's FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1377184332525622/

And this FB group too: https://www.facebook.com/groups/105223556205413/

If you buy from ATF you'll be happy. But ATF will be even happier due to the sale. There's lots of quality gear (repro and original) available for decent prices from hobbyists. You just have to look for it. Other than the M42 uniform (or M43 if that's your decision) and a pair of Corcoran jump boots (or 2 buckle boots if that's your decision) pretty much everything else you should be able to pick up from other hobbyists such as suspenders, musette bag, cartridge belt or pistol belt, M1 Helmet, first aid pack, canteen and cover, etc.

Might take a wee bit of time but you should get some deals.

Buddy of mine was asking if I knew anyone looking for 101 gack, shoot him a PM and see if it's what you're looking for:
member.php?u=60828

Can't recall the brand.

Also cannot comment on Airsoftdepots American gear, but the German stuff is pretty low in authenticity/quality for the most part.

I know Lee has a bunch of loaner gear, enough to fully kit one guy depending on your size. Could give that a try and see if we are a fit for you.
Love seeing new folks out, they're easier to shoot!

Hope to see you out soon!
