Question about a couple of VSR10 based BA rifles (aka: "Another goddamn sniper thread")

Hello again ASC,

Well, I never expected I'd ever make a thread asking about BA rifles but what the hell, I want another winter side project to work on lol. Would also give me another option for winter as a number of my main guns are GBBR's and I rarely go through more than 1 or 2 low caps in my AEG for games so curious if the playstyle would fit me.

Anyways, I've got my eye on a couple of "supposely" VSR-10 based/compatible BA rifles (and a few other misc BA's) but BA rifles are a completely new area for me despite reading through a bunch of threads here and on the airsoftsniperforums so I'm hoping some of you BA guru's could help clear a couple of things up for me.

There's 3 VSR10 based spring BA rifles I've been looking at, the WELL MB03, FN Herstal SPR A5M, and JG BAR10. There's tons of info on the JG BAR10 so I'm not worried about that but there doesn't seem to be a lot of information on the WELL MB03 and the FN A5M regarding compatibility w/ VSR aftermarket parts.

I've read the WELL MB03 has a smaller stock cylinder, but I'm not sure if that can be swapped out for something else. People have generally said its fully VSR compatible but there seems be a lot of mixed answers and nothing solid... can anyone confirm whether its fully VSR10 compatible or not?

As for the FN A5M... the stock looks pretty nice which is why I'm even considering it, but there seems to be some discrepancy regarding fitment of some PDI parts over on the airsoftsniperforums and same w/ the WELL MB03, I haven't been able to confirm whether its fully VSR10 compatible... If it is, I'd most likely grab one of these and check it out. Would like to eventually put a longer fluted tapered outer barrel from x-fire on this stock if possible but not sure if that'd be possible due to parts fitment. (oh and as an afterthought, anyone know who the OEM for this BA is? I think its marketed as Cybergun but they just rebrand stuff and I haven't been able to find much on this gun at all yet)

Really only after a nice "shell" I can upgrade over time and tinker with as stock clone internals are pretty much crap. Though I really only like the MB03 due to price I can get it at and the longer outer barrel, otherwise would just get a BAR10.

Other BA rifles I've been looking at are the Snowwolf M24 and the Well MB4403 (TM L96 clone?) but not sure if I like the M24 stock and would rather get the gas 338 from Well as a collector piece if I can find one.

If anyone has any other useful input it'd be appreciated!

Oh and before I get scolded for starting another "I want a sniper" thread, I did a search for the Well MB03 and most of the threads that have any useful information regarding it are kinda trashy or seem a bit outdated.

You might want t o consider the Modify M24, I've heard it's very nice out of the box.

FN Herstal SPR A5M- (Cybergun)

I picked up this one at my local Airsoft shop. (Capital Airsoft)
I am very pleased with it. Yes it does need the upgrades.

My friend put all VRS -10 PDI parts in his, including the barrel. It is awesome.
I plan on doing the same, except I do not want to change the exterior look.

Generally I use it until something goes wrong, then I would install the upgrade parts all in one shot.(pardon the pun).

Play style.......Using the long gun has changed the game for me. It is very satisfying when you get the shot off and it hits your target with a nice Thwak !!
and totally rewarding when the target does not realise where the hit came from.

FN Herstal SPR A5M- Its extremely light. You might like that or you may not.
Also........when trying to be sneaky in the bush, I have discovered that I get a very good work out after 8 hours in an airsoft game. I don't know if that matters to you or not. I mentioned it anyway.

Good luck with your decision.

Hm... its another alternative but I'm still not sure if I like M24's, adding to list of things to look into.

Well, that's good to hear about. I know there are some minor fitment issues with aftermarket trigger guards but I'm not too worried about that. Curious if you have pics of your friend's setup, haven't seen any pics of externally customized A5M's.
