Best lubricant???
I am restoring/upgrading my SVD internals and I was wondering what lubricant you guys prefer when assembling a gun to insure the best protection and usability.......that way, I'll have the best shot at problem free usability (pardon the pun).

But seriously! KY-Jelly and for your gearbox white lithium grease (not in spray can) or graphite paste Last edited by localfreerider; January 25th, 2015 at 18:23.. |

KY Jelly? Amateur, Gun Oil is where it's at. They've got water based, hybrid and silicone lubes.

My first thought after reading this thread's title proves that my mind is in the gutter.
SuperLube Synthetic grease is excellent for gears. Most people prefer it over the old white lithium grease. Some silicone grease and silicone oil will always be handy, particularly for compression parts and O-rings. |
