Real Sword Type 56 Upgrade Compatibility

Hey everyone,

I recently procured a Real Sword Type 56 from a close friend of mine, and wanted to get some parts to make it reliable in the long run, but before I do anything, I want to get information on some of the parts I want to switch out.

The Cylinder Head
The Spring Guide
Piston Head (if the stock one has bearings, I'll leave it alone)
And Hop Up Chamber (I would leave this stock, but the chamber has been marred up bad, and want to replace it with something. Stock chambers I can't find in stock).

Can those be switched out for standard V3 Parts? Or am I going to have to use the stock parts it comes with?

Thanks in advance!

Stock Real Sword parts are actually quite good. Imo you only really need to swap in a spring guide with bearings. The Real Sword V3 is not exactly the same as your typical V3; the cylinder is slightly smaller than a typical V3 and the gearbox is shorter so some parts may be too long and not allow it to cycle before getting bound up e.g. certain spring and spring guide combos.

Re cylinder head: the stock head is good, the only improvement that could be made is to get one with a double O-ring but it isn't really necessary IMO, it has good seal.

Re spring guide: Getting one with bearings isn't a bad idea. Be aware that the short gearbox may cause a problem with other brands of guides. I had bad results with a Prometheus guide & spring, because of the shortened gearbox it was too long and wouldn't allow the the piston to clear the last tooth on the sector gear. I left the spring and put in a Madbull ultimate V3 guide and it works fine now.

Re piston head: The stock one has bearings it works just fine.

Re hop chamber: A typical V3 hop unit would work but requires modification to fit (removal of material).

All compression parts are TM spec, you can replace them with any V3 part along with the motor, barrel and hop up. I believe people have had decent results with the prowin hop up unit. I've also heard people having issues with TM units.

So yes, all parts you listed can be upgraded with any V3 compatible part.

Thanks for the information guys! I will take it into consideration when I play around with the stock parts.
