RS/ CYMA SVD gearbox locking problem

Ok so I pulled apart my GB to fix an airseal issue the other day and now its locking up on me when I pull the trigger. When I popped it open the anti-reversal latch fell out and I think that might be whats causing the lock. I cant find reference pictures that show it clearly on google so I dont know if I have it in the right position. Ive checked the motor and its working fine. same with the gears inside if I leave the motor off and try turning the gears by hand they turn freely until they make contact with the piston and start pulling it back so no issues there. As soon as I re-connect the motor and pull the trigger it locks and wont turn the gears. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the polarities of the connectors? If you've reversed them the motor will spin backwards and lock up. Once you've confirmed that's not the issue, check your motor height adjustment; if it's too high the motor will seize.

The wires are on the correct connectors. Ive played with the height of the motor both up and down and no change. Im pretty sure its the anti-reversal latch but I cant seem to see a way it fits in any other way than it does. All the pictures of the interior of the gb on google have a gear blocking a clear shot of the placement.

Reverse the motor connectors. I've seen them wired backwards a lot (not sure if it's intentional). Last time someone posted this issue on here that was the fix.

Ok. Except the motor works fine as long as its disconnected from the gear set. Its only when I connect the motor to the gb that the gear set locks

Any chance you can take a picture of how you assembled the gearbox/reversal latch?

The motor will spin freely regardless of polarity when it's not in a gearbox. I know it sounds weird, but try reversing the contacts.

Nah man they're like that for some reason. The first time I fixed an SVD I thought I had wired it backwards by accident, but then the next one I did was the same, then the next one, and so on. They label the wires wrong in the factory -__-
