Cool fmu m1911a1 custom SCW added ~ SEXified 1911s & 2011s [REALLY not 56K friendly]

December 28th, 2005...my 1911 collection goes on...
My 4th ConcuBINE : FULL METAL Western Arms US m1911a1 Military Model Colt SCW~!!!

I got myself this gun for Christmas  , well at least the base gun m1911 military model SCW by WA. not much fitting work was required. the PGC metal is not bad but i would prefer Prime, maybe b/c i worked with it more compared to PGC. but i one thing that this metal kit stands out is the accurate markings. i love it when PGC have edged the markings so deeply into the metal that it would not disappear even if u were to sand a couple of layers of the slide/frame. anyways, as a second SCW gun, i 'd have to say they shoot more efficiently than the magna versions. This is a pretty nifty gun, a 3rd fmu gun i'added to my 1911 collection. The colt costed some bills, infact a grand (or more, i forgot...). i know its not worth it but it drives my mind crazy when theres only once more and one more piece for it to be fully upgraded. i 'm ordering a gemtech lanyard to go with the lanyard hole. its 1:09am, getting late so i'm going pretty random. anyways i'm going to bed soon just rushing this post.

I have another questions for you guys. Why is the m1911a1 so popular? like i can never get it. not like it looks modern or techy or does it out perform other 1911? i asked p.phresh about it and we had this whole discussion.its b/c of WWII that they used this and its prolly the 1st 1911 ever made? help me out guys? (pls~~)
btw, i'm currently adding upgrades on the prokiller, so stay tuned! merry christmas everyone!

My 3rd ConcuBINE : Xcellerated ProkiLLER~ (6incher)

for all you double stacker hates out there, sorry to post this up but i gotta do it for the 2011 lovers. thought of it long enough to finally start the project. i took parts from the Red silver Xcellerator, SVI Championship .45, and Prokiller MarkII F6, all WA. this gun cost me a lot b/c of that. those 3 guns are pretty rare too. but the combination is kinda sweet now i look at the final touch and happy that i did take it apart. now i got a Full Auto/Semi Auto xcellerator! tell me what you guys think. should i stay with this? or should i upgrade it even more. cause i have more ideas on my head. :smack:

Specs:
6 inch Prokiller Internals and slide and comp
6 inch Xcellerator frame (thx to p.phresh) - i modified it with my tool
Champ .45 grip
Dlask red fiber optic sight

Update - Full Metal V12 Springfield/Colt MIX custom TACTICAL:

i added a Surefire 310R (originally used for LAPD's kimber) on it to see wut it looks like...not bad~ kinda pimp kinda tactical:

Just wanna ask one question from each of the visitors (you), do you guys prefer single stacked or double stacked (1911 or 2011)? and why so?

For myself, i prefer single stack cause i have a small hand, the bad thing is, it has low space capacity for bb, so u have to keep reloading when u field. Both can be sexy, just depends how you design them i guess. The 2011 (sv/sti) to me, are basically race guns. i mean, other than that, i've seen no one hold them in real life. Correct me if i am wrong.

many of you have seen and heard of the dual pistols that Castor Troy (played by Nicholas Cage) carry in John Woo's FACE OFF. If not, heres a few pics:

many of you have read and seen DumboRAT’s Face/Off Tribute.

DumboRat's attempt in creating his Castor Troy inspired pistols amazed me. Sadly to say that the parts he used for his project are nearly extinct in today's market and out of production.

I longed for a Castor Troy inspired pistol for a long time. So i decided to make my own Face/Off Tribute. I wanted a pistol that looks as close as what Castor Troy uses. Of all the troubles in finding bits and pieces in the last half year, this is what i came up with:

I decided to make a 1911 to keep forever. This gun is by far the slickest gun i've made to date. It is my version of what THE Dream 1911 should look like (many of you may not agree with me, but hey). It is Castor Troy (from John Woo's Face off) inspired, yet i didn't feel like gold plating so made it dual tone and rugget looking instead in case i ever get the chance to field it. (i'd like to thank Marcus (in UK) for frame, illusion for upgrade parts, and madmax for advice on the chamber thingy). It was a pain to have the slide and frame compatible (one from prime, one from SD). oh well, my masterpiece is finished.

SPECS:
-WA Gilded V12 based (not anymore when i replaced almost every single part there is)
-Prime Springfield V12 Metal Slide
-Shooters Design Colt Metal Frame
-Dragon laser etched AlumaGrips
-GRS Springfield Hammer + Sear
-Sheriff 5 Inch Long Range Barrel for .45
-Sheriff .45 Extened Wide Sefety Single Sefety ( Black, 8mm )
-Sheriff .45 Mag Well ( Black ) + Hammer Spring (between 150%-180%)
-Sheriff Floating Valve
-Sheriff Long Slide Stop Wide - Black ( Steel )
-Guarder metal hybrid chamber (pain in the ass to install)
-Guarder enhanced recoil spring
-Guarder enhanced firing pin

I thought a springfield slide on a gilded would look nice so i decided to get a gilded. When i slapped on my metal slide and dlask sight, I hated the look of what it turned out. I was like WTF IS THIS!!!! THIS AINT PIMP!! THIS AINT CASTOR TROY!! ......Too toyish for me:

I wanted to see if a metal frame with the slide would look better. So i decided to do a really stupid thing. I found someone who had a magna version metal frame in the UK. I sent the money, putting myself on the line, risking the chance of seizure by customs. Luckily it got through. Initial Stage including the Para:

In the middle of Finishing, i decided to give the gun the mirror look in the silver parts. the process includes sanding, then polishing then lacquering. I attemped to spray paint some part black, but then it peeled off (using Krylon):

Full Metal PARA HRT SCW
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

to make a long story short, it took 3 months to just complete this. why so long? b/c i missed 5 chances in buying the infamous WA ParaOrdnance hrt (SCW) stock form in mint.

i was never fond of how the Para look like or doubt it'll perform well but after browsing around and reading the reviews, ppl make it sound like its one of the top of the line WA out there today. so an opportunity came to me, for i like things fmu. if its not, its not real enough. i saw a post by Kedirkin selling the metal frame for the Para, and for some reason, i can't control myself (i was broke already), i ended up buying the frame (that is, even before i got the slide). i ordered a kimber slide through Illusion, which turned out missing at the end or wgc forgot. so to replace it, Illusion helped me get the Para SCW slide and Guarder chamber for Para SCW. a month later i got the parts, i must say, Prime Airsoft slides are TASTY!! loved the finish of the slide. here i am getting all excited about these parts i got without even getting the gun yet. so ya, the rest of the story is i looked everyday on ASC for a WA Para hrt gun to come around. whenever there is one, ppl are always ahead of me, so no luck till one day (2 weeks ago) when roastpuff offered me his Para and made a deal with me. i was desparate and plus the gun was pretty much in MINT. i was the third owner (gooseman was initial) and its still surprisingly mint. guess no one used it to field. so after receiving the gun i quickly hurried on the long awaited project. surprisingly, it took me 2 hrs to finish the installation. the Guarder chamber (which is usually a pain in the ass to install), surprisingly fitted nicely without any jamming when slide is pulled and released.

--------------------------------------------
Specs:

Western Arms Para Ordnance HRT SCW (parkerized version) base
Prime Para HRT slide (scw, dual tone)
PGC Metal Frame (black)
Guarder Para Chamber (scw)
Sheriff upgraded hammer Spring
Guarder Recoil Spring
---------------------------------------------
This gun is really simple, i didn't make any mess installing the kit suprisingly. Usually, it would be a bitch installing metal parts to a WA gun.
it would of required some filing and sanding to make things fit.

this is the first SCW system gun i'm going to keep.
i'm gonna upgrade this gun even more in the future, but for the time being, i'll think of other guns. i'm slut for WA

Guys + Gals, feel free to comment and criticize, i'd love to share your thoughts.

I like the way you think. A gun is just a plastic toy if it ain't metal. Kinda obvious but ya.

Wow! Beauuutiful piece. Same way for me.... no FMU upgrades available = no purchase. I've been looking at starting an SCW project of sorts, perhaps a Para is in order for my collection.

you should really consider it, the kick feels very very nice~. even on duster, its surprisingly strong. well, i only tried it when it was stock. the abs in the stock felt like metal. thought the frame was metal at first. it had that "cool" feel if u know what i mean

Okie. First off its WHITE, Not RED.

The white dot(s) make it easier to align (sp?) the front sight with the rear sights. You can aquire your target that much easier & quicker.

its a red optic sight
picks up light and 'concentrates' it into that dot when you look down the sights so it seems to glow brighter
helps in lining up the sights faster

Just wondering if your going to get the 1911 gold plated.

I think it'd be well worth the go.

really nice guns arny, i love the castor troy tribute...

as for the other question, i'll always love the single stack 1911 frame the best. but like you say, capacity can be a problem. i absolutely despise the 2011 infinity race gun asthetic. i wont even look at a gun like that twice. for me the ultimate compromise is the Para model. double stack capacity with old school looks. best of both worlds imho.

cheers man keep the cool guns coming.

in time, yes but not in gold, i'm going to bronze plate it or copper. don't wanna make it exactly like castor's, having my own style. do u know of any copper guns i can get some ideas from? and do u prefer gold would be a better choice for me? i'm still debating... :?

haha, i surfed over arnie's (arnies not me, arny) airsoft sight. there seems to be a whole 2011 vs 1911 war. the new scw2 comes with more capacity for single stacked so thats another thing to think about.

to be honest, the Para comes with the best grip feel for me. i agree with you that it is a mix of the 1911 and 2011. i didn't like the look of it at first and always preferred single stacked. then as i got it, i'm like woah, it seems like it shoots harder than the old magna and it also feels good. it also can be full metal rather like the 2011 which has the grip plastic.
the next gun i'm posting up is going to be a 2011, hope u like it altho ur a 1911 fan. btw, u have any 1911's u wanna share in this thread? be my guest~

Well I say getting it gold tuched (fake god fishish)

Souldnt cost that much to do.. And try to get a grip like Castor Troy's has..

I myself been huge fan of those guns.... I got myself a WA Gilded V12 but I guess I'll have to make a custom gun from pices.

also maybe take some of those photos down.. .or just put a link to your gallery index cause even being on cable it takes a while for this page to load up.
