Guillied Gspec, M4 SIR w/Magpull, M249 **56K death** UPDATE!
Sorry for the shitty photography, I havnt had a chance to play around with the cam (Nikon coolpix 5900) to get it to take decent pics with the flash so I just gave up using it after a wile..
This was just supposed to be showing off the paintjob and guillie but I figured I'd get some of my other toys in here wile I'm at it. Everything you see is far from stock, if you want more info just ask :-) . Enjoy! Well, I got bored over my holiday and decided to try my hand at guillie. The gun was originally unpainted but after painting the jute and burlap the black stock looked out of place so I gave 'er a spray too. This is my first time painting a gun, I'm pretty happy with the results. TM M4 base, still more goodies to go on her... CA249, no stock CA guts left in it |

Very nice stuff you got there Oz. I like your cammo on the G-spec and would hate to play against it. Is there a extended inner barrel on the M4 that the suppressor is hiding?

Nice G-spec!
When the jute is painted, it's much better! try to cut the strands to differents lengts, so you don't have a Lasapso looking rifle. It will break the shape better too.

The inner barrel on the M4 is infact a longer tightbore, its about a cm or so short of the muzzle.
The inner barrel on the Gspec is also a tightbore and is extended maby 4 or 5 inches into the after market silencer. The gun is absolutly silent to fire, but the BBs make a distinct buzzing sound when they're zipping past you. It can sometimes give you away if you miss the first shot... but its scary as hell when your being shot at with it. The colours in the pics are off, so the green paint isnt quite as light as it is in the bottom pic. Thanks for the idea about cutting the jute at different lengths, I had been thinking of doing this myself. I didnt really think to tie it at different lengths until I got to the scope. Its all matted together with the paint now so I'll have to brush it out when I get a chance... or leave it matted, debating the advantages/disadvantages between the two. As for painting the 249... its tempting, but I think it might take a wile for me to muster up the guts to take the spray can to it Anyhow, I'm gonna be late for the world Jr.s so I best be going! |

what did you do to the front end of the m4??
i like it... |

Ugh, the M4 what a nightmare...
More specifically the front end you ask? The inner barrel was a cm too long, and the one piece G&P outer barrel turned out to be 14mm+. In the end I got a 14+ to 14- adaptor and a spacer. To get it all together and working took 3 months and uncovered many other problems. You could probably get the exact same look with a commando or CQBR outer barrel and the silencer of your choice. On the plus side my Tan SPR grip is finally here and I should be picking it up later this week :-) |

Maby 45min tops? It was more of a well, I might as well do the rest now that I'm here kind of thing. The next time I'm actually going to plan, do multiple layers... not leave an unpainted strip on the bottom :innocent:

USMC Issued in Astan. Marty down at Daves (for all you non BC folk) managed to get me a killer price on it, as always. The block between the stock and body is one of their custom stock adaptors if anyone was wondering.
Its pretty cool to know that a part of your gun has actually 'been there' |

Update time folks!
Gave the Gspec's stock a proper paintjob and reworked some of the jute and burlap. Now if I could just get over the upgraded Gspec problems that everyone else seems to be having I would be really happy. Finally got the SPR grip in for the M4 and I must say, its a fantastic! Far surpases anything else I've tryed for compfort and quality. I also got sick of the gap behind the SIR rail and butchered my carry handle to make the BUIS. Enjoy  |

Nice on the ghillied update!
Good job! If you can take a picture outside, I'd like to see how the colors are for real. It's hard to tell with the current lightning.
