Advice Needed

Hi, I am 15 years old and wish to purchase an Airsoft gun. After doing much research and posting on forums, I have decided to purchase a Glock 19 from KSC . My parents own a large property on which I would be able to play. I consider myself reasonably mature and realize that signs would have to be posted around the property, notifying people of the situation. If larger games would be hosted, the local police would be notified, aswel. I am fairly up to date with laws/regulations and the entire airsoft situation and do not wish to put the Airsoft sport at jeopardy. Any advice on pretty much ANYTHING Airsoft related would be appreciated. Also, do you think an Airsoft store front retailer would have any problems if my father and I go into the store and purchase an Airsoft gun or would it be better if I did not come along? (I realize that it is illegal for somebody under the age of 18 to buy an Airsoft gun, but my dad would be buying it, I would merely come along).

Thank you and I appreciate your advice.

The only thing that I would suggest is getting an AEG before you get a pistol, as it is much more useful in any games. also, make sure that you not only put up signs around your property, but play where no one will see you.

Check out the "legal issues " post by G Unit.

So you understand why you need to wat 3 years. It's nothing personal, as you know.

That still isn't legal. Unless your dad is gonna be playing.

Thank you, but I believe it is'nt actually illegal to own and operate an airsoft gun if you are under 18, just to purchase one.

All that will matter in the end is what the cop believes, cuz I'm sure you can figure out who'll win that argument.

Again, check G Unit's post and see what happened to him.

I have read that post several times and I think I have made it fairly clear that this would not happen.

And I really don't care what a cop "believes" since if he doesn’t know the law he/she doesn’t deserve to be in the Police. As long as I can prove that what I am doing IS legal, I would be fine.

Thanks for the referral and I appreciate your concern.

Hmm... Drake's still got a point... wait 3 years... won't kill ya... and it's just the responsible thing to do...

And... why when the guy offers you advice to you lash back at it?... I mean he's right... wait 3 years... seriously... there are too many kids getting in trouble cause of BB guns, Pellet guns, and airsoft guns... and if you really want to be looked upon as a "responsible" kid asking for good advice... take it...

And if you want better advice... GLOCKS ARE UGLY!... I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS! ... :smack:

And this comment about cops not knowing ALL the law should not be in the force... why don't YOU try learning EVERY law you little shit... my brother is a proud RCMP... but even he had to go ask the weapons techy guy that works in his department about the legalities behind airsoft because he didn't know ALL the regulations behind it... just like YOU don't know ALL the legal regulations behind building codes... or driving codes... or gun codes... I am REALLY getting sick of people like this ALWAYS blaming the police saying they're idiots or something... you people think its so easy being a police officer YOU try doing it... They are just trying to do their job.. ((granted there are some jackasses... but thats true for EVERY proffession so that doesn't really count))...

Because when 15 year olds don't get the answer they want to hear they get all emo and sand-in-their-pussylike.

Yes, you thanked him for his advice and now you're still going to go ahead with your plans despite the advice, correct?

I dont see why you guys are being so hostile. What I am doing isnt ilegal and I'm not going to do anything stupid with my airsoft gun. This thread isnt going to go anywhere so I dont see the point of me being flamed. Im sorry if you guys think im being rude or know-it-allish, but I just corrected Drake on when he said that it is still ilegal.

Thanks.

Wanna bet?

Drake already gave you the breakdown with his post. What's the point of asking for our advice if you're not going to take it? In one ear and out the other....
