MP5K mag size question

I've noticed that the MP5K has a smaller looking mag than other MP5s. Is it an optical illusion or is it really smaller than the others? If they're different, what would it's name/designation be? I personally prefer the "shorter" look and I just don't want to order the wrong mag by mistake.

Cheers

yes they are shorter, i beleive they hold 28 rounds. I've always heard them referred to as the MP5K shorty mags

Hmmm...If they're called aprox. what you said they were, none of the big retailers are currently selling them :-( I wonder why, since they look sharp and everybody seems addicted to low caps :smack:

Theres not really much demand for the K mags. If you want low capacity you can buy the TM Low Caps or the Star 30 rounds Low Caps instead. MP5 mags (long and short) can be used on the MP5k. It makes no difference.

You idiots! Everyone knows the MP5K is MUCHO GRANDE than normal MP5s! That's why the mags look so small when they're in it :P!

Also, these mags are available through UNc type orders at fairly good prices.
I've actually been thinking about picking up a couple for myself.

I prefer high caps personally. I have an mp5k high cap that holds 240 rounds in my mp5j. It works best because if you are crawling around you don't have this big goofy regular mp5 mag getting in your way. And you have 240 rounds instead of, what, 30?

I hate them, they shake, they rattle, tip em' on their side and they don't feed. Need to wind them, never get to change them.

Just get some G&P midcaps. Or MAG brand. But they are plastic.

Yes, Kid knows what he's talkin' about. I'm currently running four G&P mids. I love 'em.
