M4 full metal
Like with every forum I join, you gotta start somewhere. So here it is - my first post on ASC!
I have done my homework, but am still undecided and currently shopping. I am looking for a M4 FULL METAL BODY. I want the most realistic, true to life gun available (but not a replica of course!). As it will be probally more of a shelf queen than a field warrior, im not overly concerned if it's spring or AEG. As you guys are the pro's, what would u suggest? And from what Canadian supplier? |

Most retailers don't seem to carry springers, so you'll probably end up getting an AEG. I own a G&G M16, and I've found it to look great. The ICS M4 also looks just fine. As for other brands, I really have no idea. There's a retailers link at the top, they all list prices and availability for these guns.

Maybe look at the different ones available in the retailer list up-top and then search for reviews on the d-boards... That's you best bet.
However, I don't uderstand why you would spend upwards 500$ to just put it on a shelf... As far as replica goes, you're shit out of luck, cause that's what they fall under according to the law...

This could just be a reporter trying to make a story about airsoft being dangerous and that there is no safe way to tell if its real steel or airsoft.
*EDIT* COULD BE. NOT SAYING THAT IT IS.

As for spending $500 for a shelf queen, it's just a matter of taste. People spend obscene amounts of money on fine art, persian rugs and all sorts of other things I have nooooo interest in. I full metal M4 would def. be a conversation piece. I have a FX air riffle (900ft/ps) and several tipman paint guns. Those I use frequently, as I have buddys who also have the same guns. Not one person I know has an Airsoft weapon and I dare to be different, like most people on this site im sure. When I get one, hopefully some of my friends will follow suit and I will have guys to play with. Regardless your opinions, I will be ordering one. So any POSITIVE imput would be great. |

Trash it.
If you want a review. Go to the reviews section. You obviously haven't done that much 'homework'. I do not see any reason as to why you would want an airsoft gun as a conversation piece. No point. Go to a military museum. I'm not being rude. But honestly, use the search button. It will save you a lot of time. And hassle. Maybe look on other sites as well for reviews that may go more in depth from different perspectives. But IMO I'd suggest buying a lifetime membership or something at some museum. Honestly. Avoid all the problems. Now if you were going to get into airsofting it would be different. But for you to have a full metal M4 laying in your house as a conversation piece, sounds real shotty to me man... That is all.

Please note that if you would not display a real machine gun in your living room, you should not display a Replica-rated gun. Same laws, and they bite hard.
If you want one, fine. But it must be in a locked container and kept just like a real gun. If you want a display piece, look up "deactivated" guns. Those have no restrictions. |

basically, the "FAQ" and "search" functions of this board are there for a purpose. Use then, then ask.
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=25985 for many reason why we here at ASC think its stupid to display your guns. But hey, its your money. |
