Blackhawk SERPA tactical(Big pics)

Just got it today from texas, really impressed with it so far. I can draw in under a second now with the release mechanism.

Hope you enjoy the pics

Remember to keep your trigger finger indexed properly through the draw stroke.

Yeah, I know that, its fairly obvious really. Its a nice smooth action un-holstering the gun. It takes a few draws to master the simplicity of it.

There are RIS rails on the platform, you could throw one on I guess, but I probably wouldn't it may damage the Light while running through bushes and other crap out on the fields.

I don't think he meant a light on the holster itself, but rather holsters made for guns with lights.

Yes I ment a tac light on the gun. Maybe get a Safariland 6005 and the Holster Platform. With the right tools and time I think I should be able to make it fit.

Very nice. How much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking, and how does the release mechanism work?

100USD, plus about 30 bucks for express shipping, I bought it from ebay. If anyone wants the link to the seller I will give it to them. And basically the release is a pivoting block. It fits inside the trigger gaurd and stops it from moving, locks the pistol in and theres another piece on the bottom which goes in front of the trigger gaurd. It is very smooth to draw. Originally I was thinking about a safariland raptor, or a 6004, but I could give a shit about a rotating hood, thats no use to me. And I was somewhat sick of thumbreaks on my old holster, the raptor is nice, but it is expensive. But all in all I think this holster suits me better than any others I could find and research on. Biggest thing is the platform conforms very nicely to the operators leg and the straps have the rubber woven into them to stop the holster from sliding down your leg, which It does not do at all, it stays put where ever you have it.

The open design and positive friction retention device means that even small debris (i.e. a pebble) can get lodged in the holster and cause it to malfunction (i.e. prevent draw).

Supposedly the newer ones, I have no clue how they seperate the newer ones from old aren't as bad. And some people say the tactical models are better from the get go than the belt and paddle ones.
