KSC USP COMPACT recoil spring guide rod

Anyone know how to dissasemble the recoil spring guide rod on the USP compact? trying to get the old spring off, and the new one in....

If you look at the front of the rod there is a groove that has a small c-clip that keeps the retaining washer on. Just pull back the spring and washer and hold it back while you remove the clip, be careful though as the clip has a tendency to go flying and is quite small. I lost mine doing it, you could try removing it with the rod inside a plastic bag to reduce the chances of losing it.
