P226
Which company should I go with? I like the metal body, but KJ's P226 seems to have problems. I'm hoping that its like ICS and CA, that its only occuring with the older versions and they have fixed the problems. Can anyone confirm this? Or should I go with TM's P226, I hate plastic though. I'm not much of a fan for trademarks, I just want something that works and feels realistic. Btw, I've done the searches and I've read the reviews. But I'm still torn between the two. :???:

Go with the TM, you won't even notice that it's not metal.
I ran mine on propane up until the day I sold it, and the new owner runs propane in it as well. That said, if you really think you need the metal slide, you can pick up an aftermarket one for the TM down the road.

The KJW P226s have been experiencing breakages in the loading nozzle for no apparent reason, but Guarder manufactures a replacement. It's discouraging that you should need to almost immediately replace a vital part of the gas system, although such is the nature of cheaper products. The good thing is you're getting a full-metal P226 that's already fitted and functional, versus a TM that you can either buy a cheapo frame and slide for and spend three months fitting it, or an expensive one that would've bought you three or four GBBs for the same money.
KJW actually has THREE P226s on the market right now, only two of which are really worth getting. The cheapest one is the base model without trademarks, and can be had for usually less than $300 CAD. They have a trademarked model although I've seen and examined them and the trades appear to be burned into the gun and are not very attractive at all. I'd avoid this model. Their third one is the Collector's Edition which has far better defined trademarks and finishing and apparently is as close to the real thing as you can get. I haven't seen this one yet. If trades don't concern you, I'd buy the base model KJ P226 and order the Guarder enhanced loading nozzle, but only replace it when it actually busts because you might get plenty of life from the stock part. When it breaks you have a replacement ready to go right away. Hope this helps. |

Go with the TM, I havnt had any problems at all since I bought it, as Torn said, you wont even notice the plastic, it looks, feels, and performs excelent.
A good metal body is almost as much as the gun itself, and really not nescesary, there are so many other things you'd rather get instead.

I know your type because you are like me. We laugh at plastic stuff and think it's crap.
If that's sounding like you, then you WILL notice. I bought a TM one though I do not call it that because I had a Gauder metal body and other parts installed before I ever had to see or hold it with disgusting plastic. I do have the original body and I consider it just for LAUGHS. It weighs nothing and feels like a god damn toy! I suggest you buy one of the WGC custom ones that come with an aftermarket body on already. Once again, TM screws our type with plastic....as usual, so just consider it a $500 pistol when/if you buy a pre-metalized one. It does suck to pay like 300 just for the internals or a TM but it's your only option since the KJ doesn't sound good. Plus you can practically inhale spare parts for the TM one because there are so many. |

Sigh. I'm just starting in airsoft. There are so many freaking things I want to buy. So price matters to me, not much, but still matters. For $500, I could ALMOST buy another full metal AEG. DAMN YOU TM.

Plain and simple, if you want gaurenteed quality go TM, they are proven to be the most reliable in pretty much everything. Since you are just starting, its normally recomended that new players stick with TM since you dont normally need to do anything to them and last a long time so long as you dont fuck with them.
Once you get more experinced into the sport, move off of TM and go to other brands. Out of all the different pistols and AEGs i have had, the only ones I never had a single problem with was TM. |

The thing that is pushing me away from KJ is that I can't seem to find any extra mags for it. I talked to specarms and they told me its pretty hard to come by. Does anyone know if you can get extra mags for the KJ? Because if not, I will most likely go with a TM, seeing how they have extra mags.

WGC has some in now but who knows how many and how long they'll last. You can try getting on the pre-order's from Raygis. I heard the KJW didn't feel as nice as a Guarder though.
For P226's, I'd never do this, but I'd have to say go Guarder/TM for the optimum price, quality and avaliability of stuff for it. |

jumpin, dude, you're not helping~!!!!
I cannot even begin to describe how pissed I am that TM doesn't make metal guns. I could spend $300 on the KJ and risk getting a bad one. Or I could spend $300 with TM and another $200 on the metal kit to get a great gun. Crap, someone kill me and stop this pain. |

As many have said...go with the TM, you won't notice the metal and, in the event you do, you can always upgrade to full metal.
