G36k Star or Ca?
I want to buy a G36k but i'm not sure who i am going to buy from.
Star airsoft g36k's come with a 3.5 zoom scope and a rail mount as the Classic army version does not. Which manufacture has the most durable outer body build? I know that classic army sells the better gearbox, but i only plan on upgrading it to 380fps out of the box (with metal bushings) so i dont know how much Ca's gearbox setup will help me. Thanks for your input! |

From what I'm told and what I've read online (been looking at getting a full sized G36 to compliment my assortment of CQB guns) your best off getting a TM G36c and getting the conversion kits for it.

true... thats the route im following (my g36c ships tommorow).
but if you want to get a k or a full g36 right out of the box it sounds like from what i have read that the star has a slight edge in body but that the ca has a much better gearbox... and personally i would go gearbox since the body difference isnt much. |

lutnit is right just get the tm g36c then buy the conversion kit its so much easier because with some classic army rifles i noticed from wat my friends have been saying they break really easily and im pretty sure you can find metal conversion kits for the g36 series

If you go with a TM and upgrade it up to a fully functional G36, you will be spending a lot more $ than if you just bought the Star version. The scope/RDS itself is more $ than the cost difference between the TM G36C and the Star G36. nevermind having to buy the front grip w/ bipod, possibly a new barrel, new inner barrel, and new receiver. (Did i miss anything?)
Ive got no direct experience with the Star G36, but I know a few people who have. Unfortunatly, the first one I saw someone working on , well, the motor was poonched out of the box. Coulda been badluck, no idea. That being said though, my G36c came with the battery wires crossed :P If money isnt an issue, TM G36c and upgrade it to G36 status. If it is an issue, go with Star. |

Are you guys sure your not thinking of the older addition rifles? Classic army has been touching up lately on there mechbox errors and the G36k comes with there most recent gearbox design.
