M11 mags in MP5 mag pouches?

Do M11 magazines fit into MP5 magazine pouches? Alternatively, are there any dedicated ways to carry M11 magazines, or any tricks to carrying them?

If the MP5 pouch (the top flap) is adjustable, you might be able to fit the longer length M11 mags in. If it's not adjustable, you won't be able to close the pouch. The M11 mags are about 1.5" longer than the MP5 ones (have both, can measure later if needed).

One good thing about the two mags is that where teh MP5 mag is curved, and pouches are made to accept them, you can generally fit two M11 mags in one single MP5 pouch instead.

One thing you can do is buy a CF 82 pattern SMG (Sterling) mag pouch. It holds three longer SMG mags (Sterling mags are either 32 or 34 rounds of 9mm, more than an MP5) and use that to carry your M11 mags. You can carry a total of 6 mags in them, and should be pretty cheap too.

I'd try to look for specialty pouches. The design of the mags when put in an MP5 pouch with the adjustable top strap thing may not work. The mags carry alot of weight and could wiggle their way out. I'd look for a sealed type pouch.

And watch out for how much presure you put on the feed lips, M11 are bad for spewing ammo out on their own if a bit of pressure is put on the top BB (at least all mine do, makes it useless to carry my M11.)

What about trying an old Thompson mag pouch? I don't know about the exact dimensions of the two different mags, but they look close enough. Other than that, the only things i can think of is an uzi pouch, although that might be too short or a P90 mag pouch.

I second Stalker on his comments.
I've tried to stuff multiple mac mags within an m16 pouch. On occasion one would tip out the side, I would end up brushing against the bb-lip and got a blast in the face of 20 or more bb's.

The CF smg pouches you can usually find at surplus stores seem pretty reasonable as an alternate..
