SPR Mk12 mod0 Replica - different one
Well, I've just gotten my SPR up and running as well, thanks mostly to Dirty Deeds (Thanks Scott!).
This is my replica of the Mk12 mod0 version of the SPR, my preferred version, with a standard M4 telescoping stock. For more info on the SPR "family", see Illusions post in this section ( Special Purpose Rifle (SPR) Mk12 mod1 Replica ). Classic Army front end and rail, Guarder body, and King Arms PEQ-2 and suppressor. Before anyone asks, the vertical grip is an experiment, at least until I get a bipod. It is a bit too far forward for a stubby-armed shorty like me, but might work for some more gorilla like folks. I saw a pic of pretty much my exact configuration on Military Photos, inlcuding the foregrip, so I thought I'd give it a try.

I despise you Spleen! Naw, just kidding, I have a man crush on you and your Mod 0
Is the gun really front heavy with such a long barrel and battery up front? I was thinking of building something similar but with a (gulp) Crane stock to offset the weight.

I might try adding some weight to the buffer tube in order to shift the center-of-gravity back. But would the change in balance be worth the increased overall weight? It's not so bad I can't use it, but we'll see how I feel after playing a game or two with her... And Primus? Stop looking at her like that... Thanks for the compliments. I can't wait to test it out theis weekend. I can't remember the exact name of the front scope mount, unfortunately, but ARMS makes the real ones, and mine are replicas, so depending on your price range they are out there. Eddie, thanks for the idea, I'll look into that later. Might just make a big difference.

Always like the mod 0, however, I'm not digging that AN/PEQ though. Probbaly looks much hotter with a crane stock that house a battery.

The real A.R.M.S Ring mounts and the front picantanny rail are: A.R.M.S.#22 TRC Tactical Ring Cap A.R.M.S.#22 Throw Lever Rings I have them for my SPR and i wouldn't recommend the real ones because they are so damn expensive. |

I think you have to also get the rail (#22TRR Tactical Ring Rail) that goes on top of the ring cap. Not sure if you buy them as a set or separate pieces.
