Did you read the stickied topics just at the top here? Your answers are there.

those threads are all out of place and quite annoying to read thru to find what im looking for, but ive pretty much concluded that for the "simple" upgrade im looking for, given that i have a TM m4 (apparantly, according to one of your threads, have pretty reliable internals, mech boxes n all tha jazz) all i would really need is a new spring (not sure of the spring type tho, asking for help!) and some metal bushings? correct me if im wrong.

Jeez man, read the damn Spring Comparison Chart stickied at the very top of this very section.
Or just get whoever will do the upgrades for you to put in the appropriate spring, because honestly if you aren't making it this far on your own, I seriously recommend you not try to upgrade your mechbox yourself. (if you do, I suspect your next post will be "how do i remove the spring?" -- and right now you're thinking I'm mocking you and that I'm talking about the mechbox. But you'll know what I meant when you get there.)

A spring and bushings, yes, and that's even in a thread I wrote.
If you are not going to bother to read what we made the effort to write just for new folks like you, dont expect us to bother to spoonfeed you answers. The only effort you must do is to read. There's even a guide for springs... |

dude, i read all the damn posts from first entry to last, its just that they are all scrambled up messes. i thought i;d start this so i cud get a simple straight foward answer.. i dont need u guys comin down on me cause i asked a Question, esp. u drake, if u aint got nething good to say go post ur shyt somewhere else man, i didnt ask neone to come in here telling me wat im doing wrong, i kno there is posts out there that will eventually tell me wat i need to kno, but in those posts, what im looking for may a bit to simplified.. so really.. all i wanted to kno is if a spring and bushings would do the trick, and wat sorta spring.. if u dont wanna answer that.. dont bother posting..
and about the spring guide.. i suppose i dont really understand that enuff to look at it and not need anymore help.. but believe me, ive looked over it a few times... i just want u guys to understand that im not being a lazy ass and just hopin u guys will "spoonfeed" me all the info im looking for, i guess im just askin for a simple clarification.. i suppose u guys may need some sorta attitude adjustment towards us "n00bs", cause honestly, u guys put more effort into tryin to knock me down cause of this post than u cudda put into simply sayin, "yes, a new spring (and whichever spring that'd be needed to achieve the fps boost imlooking for) and some metal bushings to support it would do the trick just fine".. but i suppose u guys wont understand that.. newayz thanks for the help and the redirection to the same forums ive been trying to understand.. |

If that's a scrambled mess of intel, all that means. Is that you don't know enough about the gun to take it apart.
Do yourself a favor and just ask someone to help you figure it out. You're in Toronto, you have the largest player base in Ontario to help you out!

just to clear things up... i DO NOT plan to take it apart myself.. hell no! ill admit i dont kno anything... but wat im planning to do, is find out WAT i need.. see if i can get that imported for a cheaper price than it'd cost here, and then try to find someone that'd be willing to put it together for me...

The cost of a spring and bushings here will be about $40 if you shop around. You'll pay ate least $20 U.S. + freight from Asia, which just isn't worth it. If you were doing every part in the mechbox, then yes, I can see that.
Really though, your gun will hold up for quite awhile with just a simple spring and bushing upgrade. Check with the fellow you choose to do the upgrade for you, as he should have those parts as a matter of regular work. To be honest with you, an upgrade to 330 from 270 will give you a slight increase in range and performance, but not alot. You can be very effective with even a stock gun, if you tailor your tactics accordingly. And stock, that gun should last you for a long time. Upgraded, it all depends on the quality of the work done.

Oh nos, not especially me? That's actually pretty funny, it was actually one of the more useful posts: if you'd bothered to actually check out the stuff I said you would have found the answer to all your spring questions in the form of a big easy to understand chart, compiled by Illusion whom actually bothered to go out and get just about EVERY spring on the market, install it, chrony it, and compile the data to provide us with hard data on how each model from each manufacturer compares to one another. Anyway, enjoy your time in airsoft, kid. With this kind of attitude I doubt you'll be around very long.

For the rest, if reading is too hard, ANY gun doctor will be able to bring your gun to 340fps if that is what you ask for. Cost will be about $50, give or take. Order in Canada (that goes for everything, you should know that by now). If the information is such a jumble, feel free to re-copy and re-write the guides. Respect goes both ways; respect our efforts to write guides by reading them, and then we'll respect you. Act like a child (what you are doing now) and nobody will even bother with you. |

You are exaggerating the complexity of it all. The text I wrote is pretty darned clear and applies to any AEG.
The spring guides are clear; go by speed and pick one. Metal bushings are just that, bushings, it's not rocket science. If what is written about basic upgrades is too complex, then I dont know how to make it simpler than what I told you. Maybe if I say; Systema M100 spring, and oil-less metal bushings. Would that be too complex? This works for pretty much any AEG from any company. Some already have the metal bushings, so it's one less thing to bother with. You'll find out real fast that most of us had to learn from scratch unless we were lucky enough to be near others who knew better. You are in Toronto, surrounded by a LARGE amount of players and resources. If reading here is too unclear, just get out to a game, a meet, or the ASC Armoury. At some point, you'll have to watch how it's done to learn. May as well start now. |
