Upgrade my CA M24

I recently did a sniper course which allows me to upgrade my CA M24 from it's present 490fps with .2g's to 580fps. I had bought it used so it has had the appropriate trigger, guide and piston upgrades for the 170 spring in it (I can't remember what make.) What spring do I get to acheive the fps I want?
I am looking at the First Factory Laylax PSS2 190% Spring for APS2 Series as I have read (hopefully rightly) that they are compatible.
The only other I can see available is the PDI Spr-200 but I have no idea what fps it will shoot.
Any help?

Here's a forum that's dedicated an entire section to the CA M24:

Hopefully it will have the info you're looking for.

Well I didn't find exactly what I needed there unfortunately. So will the Maruzen Aps2 spring mentioned fit or do I have to go for the whole Classic Army Advanced Cylinder Air Spring Kit for M24 with the APS300% spring at UNCompany? They are out of the PDI 300% springs alone.

580!? I hope you have sufficient upper body strength to pull that bolt back! Seriously though, which sites allow you to field a gun this hot? I would say this is bordering on dangerous. Claiming to make strictly long-range torso shots doesn't fly in my book because someone has enough time to duck between the sear release and the BB impact to make that torso shot an accidental face shot.

Don't mean to chide you but I'm genuinely interested in your rationale.

Just get the Laylax/First Factory PSS2 170 or 190 spring, that should be fine and close to what you want to shoot. Just keep in mind the higher the spring you use, the more wear your gun will suffer. And avoid all the PDI springs, they are not good at all now (I had a cut down PDI 300% spring before the Laylax, it was a bastard to pull back and was shooting over 600fps. Cocking the gun felt like cocking a crossbow, it was that hard. And, shooting a hundred or so shots out of it stripped out the retaining screw that holds the hop up unit in place).

I have been using the Laylax 150SP the past year in my CA M24 and it's a great spring, real easy to pull back.

And, just because you are 'qualified' to go up to 580fps, doesn't mean it's a good thing to do (or that you have to), at a minimum consider the future health of your gun.

Rationale? This is the allowable limit and there are several others with this FPS. We are responsible players and a pretty tight group so I am confident in our collective concern for each others' well being.
And yes I am strong enough.

As far as the health of my M24, I will gauge this accordingly and do the necessary repairs/upgrades as necessary.

Thanks for the concern and the information. If it seems at all dangerous or harmful to people or the M24 rest assured I will gladly downgrade the FPS.
