Inner barrel length for CQB-R

Hey all, I'm currently running an MP5 barrel in my CQBR (based on a TM M4, with guarder CQBR shorty barrel). It's much too short, and I've been having hop up problems, and I think it's attributed to the short inner barrel: BBs are probably contacting the outer barrel before they leave the gun and screwing up their trajectory (that's my best guess anyway).

Any opinions out there? I was thinking the 285mm MC51 barrel would probably work, but I don't want any inner barrel sticking out from the flash hider at all.

hi,

i got a M733 that also sports a shorty barrel.
to me a shortybarrel means that there is no more outerbarrel to see,
between the flashhider and the frontsightl....

the exact lenght for the innerbarrel is 270mm.

be carefull when u chop the barrel...u dont want to bend it,not even a bit...

i did everything on a machine....

dont just use a saw and mess everything up

greetings

The CQB I had from Classic Army has a 280mm barrel.

I'm not sure about Guarder, but if it is infact 280, it's not going to stick out of the flashhider if you have 285mm. Probably won't if you have 270mm.

Good luck, anyway.

hi there,

i had it at first,at 280mm and i was able to see the innerbarrel bling out of the
holes in the birdcage.

but like i said,
in my case,my flashhider is sitting right in front of the frontsight
(1mm between sight and flashhider)

now if you are using a type of outerbarrel, like the G&P´s M653,
then u would probably be good with it,because there u have like 4-5mm space
between the flashhider and the frontsight.

on the CA M15 CQB,there is at least 10mm between the flashhider and the frontsight.

i also have a spare outerbarell from guarder, wich can be used in two styles.

1.normal M733/M933 lenght (inner=300mm)

2.u can also unscrew that peace of outerbarrel and screw the flash hider right before to the frontsight wich makes it a "real" shorty type. (inner=270mm)

greeting´s

Thanks for your opinions guys, sounds like 285mm will be the way to go, as my guarder CQBR barrel extension goes about 20-30mm beyond the front sight triangle.
