I didn't think any of the new vests had been pushed to surplus yet...

If it is the issue vest, it is illegal for civilians to be in possession of it an to be selling stolen kit, etc.

I highly suggest you pass this person's contact info onto your nearest military police detachement asap. If they have one tacvest, chances are good they are stealing other items from the supply system to.
There is a very special place in hell reserved for people who steal kit from the army... along with child molesters, and people who talk in the theatre during movies. That aside, the issue tac vest is a piece of shite, for $300 you could outfit yourself with an excellent repro of any of the more popular aftermarket vests. I highly recommend the Proud CIRAS (land). On a side note, if you want a issue vest to look "the part" a Canadian soldier, keep in mind a large (and growing) percentage of troops overseas are ditching the issued "canadian tire fisherman's vest" for aftermarket rigs. Eagle and anything HSGI seem to be amoung the most favoured choices. |

yeah i already ordered a paraclete RAV replica. Again i dont want this as i dont like the look of Canadian forces, or most national affiliations for that matter. And this vest could be authenticated for surplus so im not doing anything until i see paperwork.

As stated before, the vest can fetch $200-$350 resale.
Way to authenticate vests are; -Mag pouches are 1x and have Grenade pouches on the outside two, and a pen and maglight pouch in the inside two. -Utility pouches on the front have a baffle with drawcord. -Side pouches are removable on a Velcro panel. -Back has daisychain. -Tag has NSN. One point that you may want to address is the main reason why everyone says the vest is shite...the mag pouches. The issued vest has 4 1xmag pouches. Depending on what you want, this could work, or you may want more. Solutions are; -Remove mag pouches and sew on your own. -Subload mag pouches. I'm assuming your looking at the one TFZ-OZ has for sale. His is issued, in case you were wondering. Somehow he came into buying it from a seller who had stated it as a Tiger Tactical vest. He posted pictures of the tags and vest and unless they're doing 1:1 replicas (with matching tags) it is the issued vest.

There's one on sale for $200 in the classified, but I've seen the issued ones go for $250-350.

Yeah I just noticed that you're selling one. I dunno how easy you'll be able to sell it with TFZ-OZ selling one for $200, but sooner or later that customer will come along...
