Colt 1911 National Match
Does anyone own this Colt National Match 2 Tone from KWC?
I've had this GBB for quiet some time now and the only reason I baught it was for propane testing purposes. Built Material: ABS Weight: aprx. 800g Capacity: 13+1 System: Gas Blow Back (Semi) Velocity: astonishing 350fps with 0.2g BBs *Identical to the Western Arms ParaOrdnance P14 When I was reading the reviews of this gun before I purchased it, it was stated that the blowback is not all that powerful but the reason is simply because more gas is routed forward to propel the BB than push the slide back. From my experience, I would say that the 1st part of this statement is false. When I first fired this gun with propane, it almost fell out of my hand. I did not expect such hard recoil. With HFC134a, the recoil was slightly less, but not by much. If this gun delivers 350fps on HFC134a, I wonder what the fps rating is on propane. It must be quite high, because the BBs have penetrated my silicone target @ a 50-60 feet distance. I have fired this gun using propane with about 30 mags and it has not broken yet. Metal parts include trigger, hammer, slide stop, magazine and barrel. I was only able to clean the barrel, due to the fact that I do not know how to take this gun apart. If it didn't break yet from all the propane use, it would be a shame to myself to break it while taking it apart lol. I do not use this gun on propane anymore. It is way more fun to shoot with HFC134a, because when pulling the trigger, gases escaping the chamber are visible, making it very realistic. I must say that this is the best ABS GBB I have ever baught for the cheapest price ever, it only cost me $100, and I would not sell it for double as much. I am wondering if anyone else owns this great handgun, and if there's any information they would like to share, especially how to take it apart for maintenance and inspection purposes. Here are some pictures: P.S. The silver round button under the barrel visible in the last picture, is the barrel support release spring. When this button is pressed, you are able to twist be barrel support and pull it out, exposing the barrel itself. I do not know what to do at this point. What I would like to do is remove the slide and take a look inside. Any help appreciated!! Ed Last edited by Codename47; November 15th, 2006 at 08:24.. |

If you want to remove the slide, you must follow the takedown procedure for Colt handguns. There is no other way.

Oh, if you want to strip 'er down completely (upper portion) , you'll need to take the barrel bushing off. Again, fucking AWESOME 1911. Last edited by Lakonian; November 15th, 2006 at 14:28.. |

That's a really nice piece for a stock gun.
The barrel bushing comes off like so: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showpos...8&postcount=28 Once the bushing is removed, rack the slide back to the notch shown in harleyb's link and you can pop the slide stop out. Once it's out, the entire slide assembly should slide forward. |

Their counter-parts on UNC are only $59, but they don't carry this particular model.

This gun is really cool guys... I did order 2 of these, but was able to get only 1 due to the fact that these have been discontinued and I happened to pick up the last piece lol so Red Wolf said, I wish they would stock up, I really want another 1. Sell this gun? I doubt it... this thing's going custom, 1 way or another.
