yet another camo question? MARPAT?
is it just me or does ne one else realize that what one company calls marpat is completely different than what another one might? and i know what acu, cadpat..etc is im not that stupid and can tell the difference. but i mean one sites version of marpat is waaay brown and looks crappy, but then another picture of what is still "marpat" has much more of a green tone to it (the brown and green colours go more 50/50) i cant decide if i want to buy it or not because i prefer the greener version and dont want to get jipped and buy a crappy brown one

It's because the USMC holds a copyright to marpat thus other companies who dont have an agreement with them to produce the real stuff produces a similiar fake stuff. It's the same with CADPAT.

Your not by chance looking at marpat TW and Marpat AR are you? One is a woodlands pattern and the other is a desert pattern...

I'm gonna take a wild shot and say that he can tell the difference between woodland and des' kit since he knows the difference between CAD' and MAR'.

Maybe so - but you'd be surprised. One time when I wore my ACU to the field (when it first came out), someone asked me why my CADPAT was so faded. *lol*

too me 100 bones each is expensive..i would love to be able to get atleast a pretty decent pair of camo for 100 dollars total, pants and shirt. i love airsoft and put lots of money into it already, but dont see the point in paying that for field clothing that just gets dirty basicly

Psst I just got a brand new set of TW marpats in large. Its more than a hundred bux thats for sure! The ACU I sell new too but its been more popular "for Now" than the marpats. The point is that the real issue gear is made so much better than alot of the knock off stuff. Props to the dropzone and similar Quality makers, but for the quality / price ratio. Issue stuff wins most times. If you can get surplus its hands down the best deal for good quality.

what if it was issued to you? j/k ... I had to buy my ACUs (Army made us buy them). Not to mention, I am an Airsoft Nut.
ACUs run around US$75 a top and US$70 trouser. Last I was at the MCX (Marine PX) I saw their uniforms around the same price area, they were not $100. |

last year i bought several Marpat woodland and desert bdu set from the states.. 150$ each set... black market of course. No replica can be compare to these in quality.
Edit: To know if you have a replica or not is quite simple. on jacket= you have an embroiled Eagle-Anchor-Globe and EAG logo printed clearly at approx. each 6 inches. On pants= EAG logo at approx. each 6 inches. Real Marpat doesnt fade as fast as replicas. Few compagnies will try to copy those logo but they aren't visible as the real ones.
