Phantom CIRAS, A New Version Out?
So I was looking at the evike phantom Ciras someone linked in another post,
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...7176&rd=1&rd=1 I noticed this looks different from the Phantom ciras I owned some months ago. 1. The salmon pink mesh lining on the inside is gone 2. the velcro at the front is tan/khaki/whatever instead of green. Did phantom change their ciras design or is it just the picture? It would be best if someone who owns this version that evike is selling would post pictures. Thanks guys |

I dunno but a few guys on my team have the tan ciras for awhile and there is no such thing a pink mesh linner and od velcro, maybe you got an early version or something like that.

Not to bust your balls or anything, but what difference does it make? Besides, I thought the mesh lining was there to keep your body temperature cool during the summer?

The difference is that with the pink mesh, Yuxi looks more gay than he already is.

From that picture (original one from Airsoftshooting), it doesn't look as rigid comparing to the one sitting in my room.

If Im paying 150+ for anything, it would be best if pink is not included especially since the pink doesn't exist on the real one. Ultimately nearly all of us who buy gear do it for the LCF, because otherwise stuffing high caps into your pocket works just as well as having fancy pouches on a vest.

I can confirm that the 'older' version I have and a version purchased by a friend of mine almost a year later have slightly different color webbing and liners, but that there are no other discernable distinctions. Its not all for the better as time has gone by however - my 'original' CB CIRAS webbing was an exact match to an Eagle/Seals 4.0 drop-leg holster in CB that I have, whereas the 'new' version webbing was closer to a rust color similar to nothing I've seen or used. The liner was more of a perfect match as I recall in the new one (I don't have it in front of me at the moment, just recalling our observations when they were side-by-side) Having said that, I don't think the pink of old is a prevalent as has been described here, at least, I never flinched when I got mine. (sashays off into the sunset)

Yeah, the webbing on my 3 day pack is that same rust colour..and the flap on some of my M4 pouches, but my vest itself is all the same colour tan.
