Question for MP5SD6 users - Battery?
A birdie once told me that you can fit a nun-chuck, or butterfly style 9.6v pack in the forgrip of the SD5/6... true or false?

9.6v Nunchuck up to 1700mah will fit.
The "Nuclear Power" branded batteries seem to fit the best. Quite snug, but they fit. |

In my A5 front end on one of my MP5s, I bought an Intellect 8.4V 1400mAh mini for it, and it's a great battery. I don't know how long it'll last for number of shots, have a 110 spring in the gun, so if I'm lucky 1000 shots, but the gun is ripping fast, much faster than my main MP5 field gun (has the SD front end) with a 150% spring in it and an 8.4V 3300mAh battery. There is more room in the SD front end than the A5 style, but I never tried to fit a larger battery in.

I've been looking into this also and have come to realize that quite a few battery configurations are called "nun-chuck". Make sure you see a pic first.

with very little modification you can fit an intellect 9,6 2800 mah in there.
made by coupling 2 9,6 volts 1400 packs in parallel. alternativly there is room for 9,6 2000 made from GP 2000 cells. you can check out www.cheapbatterypacks.com they can make them for you, or you can get the cells individual and make the battery yourself. |
