Cyma P.618 without the orange tip?
Hello,
I have recently acquired a cyma sig P.618 from a friend who brought it back from Hong Kong. It wasn't an illegal importation because for some reason, customs let it through. He told them that he had an airsoft gun and they let it through! He declared it at the border and they said it was okay to bring in. Anyways, it doesn't have the orange tip on it so I am wondering if it is legal. I want to make sure that this gun isn't illegal before I even touch it. Any information would be appreciated. |

Has a life outside Airsoft

Yea, I don't think Canada has a law requiring orange tips, the only orange tips I've seen on guns are the ones from Canadian Tire...
Interesting that he was allowed to bring it in, maybe customs officials just felt good that day or something >.>

Maybe the word "airsoft" sounded too foreign so they just ignored and moved on.

Mabe if you go to the usa and bring an airsoft gun into the country, customs wont care, and never really have.
Tis isnt a fluke, americans do it all the time without knowing. |

It would help a great deal if you said where you live, at least which country, in your profile. Because you really dont tell us.
What could be even more of a problem is if you are under 18. Check the Newbie Guide for more information. |

I've been through the border many times, and they just seem to have good day and bad days. Some days they are anal about anything crossing over, and others they could care less. It's always hit and miss. Though I haven't tried to bring airsoft guns across. It's not worth spending the money to find out.

It's also not worth going to jail, having your car ripped apart, and getting either a criminal record or a permanent flag/ban attached to your name.
It's those little details many people dont think about until it happens to them, or they try to order stuff that gets seized and come here to whine about it. We saw that just this week. |

meh, some people like a finger up their ass. Although, Im sure there are cheaper ways to get your prostate tickled then trying to import a gun.
