M700/ M24
are they the same internaly? Im looking for parts for my CA M24 SOCOM (version 2) to turn it into a beast for outdoor.
Some times it says i can use ASP-2 and some times is says M700 parts in the part description. Im just trying to get all my info strait befor i do anything. If you have any experience with an upgraded M24 what parts did you use and what would you recomend. Thanks Jeremy

Im more just confuzed about what model i can search for parts. It looks like some parts are interchangable and others are model specific. I know what parts i need i just want some info on brands, im mainly looking at Laylax and PDI but this is my first bolt action rebuild, done a few AEGs.
Thanks for the reference name tho

Ignore the M700, there are only two types really, both as gas powered.
And, as I got dragged into this (is ok, situation normal! Lol), here's a list I composed for a user on my Sniper's Range forum (Warmonger's website) last year. I've got everything in here, except my spring is a Laylax 150SP and I am using the PSS2 9mm spring guide. If you want under 450fps, then use what I listed below. Just remember, PSS2 is for the APS2 series (all adaptable except the cylinder for the CA M24) and when you order, anything listed as PSS10 is for the TM VSR, NOT compatible! Quote:

You can buy a crappy (constant leaking, lots of maintainance for very little gain) CA gas cylinder to fit in the CA M24, but you are by FAR better off staying with the spring set up.

sounds good, i didnt know that gas converion had a leeking problem!
Thanks for the heads up. Im planning on doing the silencer adapter so i can get an even longer barrel in it. I love project guns!

Just don't go too much longer, am not sure the internal volume of the cylinder, and too long of a barrel will cause a slight vacuum behind the BB.
Stock length is 515mm, plenty long. Not sure how you will sort out fitting the supressor to the end of the barrel, but am sure you have some ideas. Any more questions feel free to ask me. |
