i wil eventually be putting my canadian impression of when i was in the service,

so whats wrong with classic army that already has a minimi? lol
it weighs more too, about twice as much. FYI, get age verified as fast as you can so more people will help you out! oh and someone IS making an M240 LMG, but it'll be reaaaaally expensive! |

No the barrel doesn't come off, its all plastic and I really don't recommend it. Get a CA since their full metal and have a lot more features. The M240 LMG is being made by Inoketsu so it'll probably around the $3000-4000 mark judging from what their M60's cost.

As a CA M249 Para owner... I suggest going with the CA one. I have put a few thousand rounds through it and not a problem yet. They build and the weight is amazing. The barrel comes off pretty much like the real thing. Altho the inner barrel doesnt follow it.

from what i've heard the CA249's barrel comes off in the same way as the real steel, but like all airsoft guns the hopup comes with it. Correct me if im wrong, i dont have my 249 yet to check lol
the CA is around 5700g and the G&P is closer to 7600g |

If you have any questions about the CA just shoot me a PM and il see if I can answer it.
I was a little unclear in my previous post. When you remove the outer barrel(like real steel) the inner barrel stays in place on the gun(with the hop-up). You have to go under the feed tray cover and push the hop-up out to get the inner barrel out.

one other question comes to mind,if you are using a 30rnd mag, what other
aeg mags operate in it,so i can us my c7 mags in the m249,do you understand what i am asking? |
|
March 16th, 2007, 20:12 | #14 |
I have never actually tried to use a 30rnd mag in the CA249, but I'm pretty sure that it can use any m4/m16 mag. Correct me if I am wrong.

If you do go the star route, you can't use 30rnd mags. The mag well is there you just can't use it.
The Star MK46 has a bundle of metal on it. I am purchasing one for myself shortly |
