There's 3 #1 phillips (+) screws under the handguard with nuts on the other side. Remove them and carefully slide the barrel assembly forward. Once removed, push the hopup assembly in and gently twist (can't remember which way) and the inner barrel will come out with the hop up assembly. There's a small plastic clip with three tabs on it on the bottom front of the hopup assembly, carefully pry it out and gently slide the barrel forward. If you're too rough, you can damage the hop up sleeve and/or loose the hopup bucking. Just do the reverse to reassemble.

You need to take the handguard off, otherwise you can't get at the screws Darklen mentioned.

I have a TM G36C. I changed my inner barrel last month.
1-Pull the handguard. 2-3 screws to remove under the front. 3-Deconnect the wire under the nozzle and pull on the barrel. 4-Push the hup-up into the barrel, turn and release. the inner barrel and the hup-up will be free of the barrel. 5-Under the hup-up, there is a little peace of plactic (barrel locker) that you have to release to be able to release the barrel. 6-Turn and release the hup-up ring. WATCHOUT, the hup-up piece can fall. It's a little rubber cylender. 7-Release the barrel. 8-Change your barrel. 9-Put the hup-up piece in place and put the ring on its place. 10-Reput the barrel locker in place... continue to rebuild the entire barrel. Don't forget to plug the connector. Good luck.

Up. The hop up bucking presses down on the sleeve through that hole to put backspin on the bb as it passes by. The groove the hopup sleeve slides over is on the bottom. The notches in either side lock the retaining clip in place.

What size tighbore did you put in? If its a 6.03 I suggest you change the
hopup rubber!

The stock rubber will cause the bbs to travel akwardly in the barrel and your
pattern at 100ft will be about 3ft round lol.. I put in the guarder hopup and I held a 10" grouping at 100ft quite easily with that short barrel.

For those needed takedown instructions, go to:
http://pageproducer.arczip.com/daedalus03/workshop.html scroll down to "G36 Hop unit removal and disassembly guide." Lots of pics of different ways to get the g36 apart. |
