How fun it would be to play with simulation
OK now before I start getting flamed to hell!
Since I saw Iceman’s post, http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=36625 I can’t stop thinking how fun it would be to play with simulation. I mean it’s the perfect world mixture of the range of airsoft and real guns looks( because there real guns with mods) An the real pain and big noise as paintball + ejecting shells ok the rounds aren’t cheap I know how much trouble and harm it could cause and the whole legal thing. But come on! You would play a game if you would have the chance! I know it’s dangerous…. but so is rock climbing, skydiving and driving in the middle of Montreal at 5 pm! Please take a look http://www.simunition.com/cartridges/fx_training_en.php “The cartridges are available in .38 cal. and 9 mm calibres and feature tactical accuracy up to 25 feet (7.6 meters). The 5.56 mm calibre is tactically accurate with ball cartridges to 100 feet (30 meters). No special ballistic facilities are required. They meet the need for a force-on-force and man-to-man training system that is realistic, effective, inexpensive, adaptable and fully portable.” Here is a demo YouTube - fun shoot MAS G1 simunition The gun’s would be the real one and would actually cheaper then the replica of the airsoft ones… lol All you need is the conversion kits And here they are for: PISTOLS Berretta 92FS - 96D Beretta 92 FS - 96 Centurion (9mm/.40 S&W) Beretta M9 Glock 17/17C (1-pin)(9mm) Glock 17 (2-pin)(9mm) Glock 17 - 22 - 35 Glock 19/23 (9mm) H&K USP Compact (9mm) H&K USP Standard (9mm/.40 S&W) H&K P2000 (9mm) SIG M11 (9mm) SIG P225 - P6 (9mm) SIG P226 for Standard Slide (9mm) SIG P226 for Stainless Steel Slide (.357 SIG/.40 S&W) SIG P226 for Stainless Steel Slide (9mm) SIG P228 (9mm) SIG P229 (9mm) SIG P229 for Stainless Steel Slide (.357 SIG/.40 S&W) SIG PRO (9mm/ .357/ .40 S&W) SIG PRO Compact (9mm) S&W Series 400X (.40 S&W) S&W Series 590X (9mm) S&W Series 594X (9mm) S&W Series 594X-TSW (9mm) S&W 690X (9mm) S&W 694X (9mm) Walther P5 (9mm) Walther P99 QA (9mm/.40 S&W) Walther/S&W P990 DAO (9mm/.40 S&W) Colt 1911 (.45 ACP) Browning HP (9mm) Para-ordnance P14-45 (.45 ACP) CZ 75 Series (9mm) Machineguns M249/Minimi/C9 with feeding ramp M249/Minimi/C9 with discriminator Sub machinegun Colt SMG (9mm) H&K MP5 (9mm) H&K MP5 SD (9mm) H&K MP5K - MP5KA4 - MP5KA5 (9mm) H&K MP5K PDW - MP5K N (9mm) Bolt conversion for 5.56mm Colt-style M4/M16, AR15 (without sporter block), Diemaco C7/C8 Family AR15 (with sporter block) H&K G36 Family FNC/AK5 Family AK47 - Under development Famas - Under development SA80 - Under development Sig 550/551 - Under development Sig 552 - Under development Steyr - Under development Rifles/Carbine Upper receiver conversion kits for 9mm Colt M16A2 Carbine (14-1/2''bbl) Colt M16A2 Carbine (16-1/4''bbl) Colt M16A2 Rifle (20'' bbl) Colt M16A3 Carbine (14-1/2''bbl) Colt M16A3 Carbine (16-1/4''bbl) Colt M16A3 Rifle (20'' bbl) Colt M16A3 Commando (10-1/2'' bbl) Colt M4A1 Flat top (14-1/2'' bbl) Colt AR-15 (16-1/4'' bbl) Flat top Colt AR-15 (20'' bbl) Flat top Colt AR-15 (16-1/4'' bbl) Colt AR-15 (20'' bbl) Shotgun Universal Universal 12 Gauge kit 2-3/4'', 3'' (pump-action) Revolvers .38 Special / .357 Magnum OK THIS IS THE PART WHERE PEOPLE BASH THIS THREAD! |

It sounds just like a GBB. Big whoop.

I have taken part in training exercises with sim rounds, you must wear you body armour and full face mask, these little soap rounds hurt like a son of a bitch, I also know they are very expensive, over a $1 a round.
However they do give you a sense of reality when doing force on force training, with reduced recoil. |

that was quick!
Can’t be that bad if it’s becoming the standard of realism for training for American and Canadian troops and elite swat groups? But hey what do I know! |

Did you know that its only available to LE/Military groups?

A big mark if you take an arm shot, I used it with law enforcement training.

$1 a round....no thanks!
Paintballs being ~$.10 a round is too much for me. If pulling the trigger can be translated into firing a coin (except maybe a penny) it'll never go mainstream. |

It will never go mainstream because it is restricted to LE and Military only.. Already looked into it... its a non starter...
